Noah answered the phone expecting it to be Theresa on the other end. As usual it was.
"Hello?"
"Hi Noah, its me Theresa. Look we need to talk."
"We do? You sound serious."
"Well, yeah it is kind of serious."
"Ok, well go ahead."
"Um... This is kind of hard for me to say, but Ethan and I... we're going to give it another shot. See if we can make it work this time."
"Well that's great Theresa. I'm happy for you. Really. Deep down I knew you would always go back to him eventually."
"Really, you're ok with this?"
"Yeah, I guess I am."
"Thanks Noah, I got to go. Thanks for being so understanding."

That was the day that Noah thought his heart was ripped from his chest and stampled on by a heard of buffalo. Hell, it sure felt like that's what happened. But the days got easier. Until one day when Noah saw Theresa and Ethan walking together down Main Street. Theresa was laughing at something Ethan said. Laughing to the point of crying. But Theresa wasn't the only one with tears in her eyes.

And the worst happened. Theresa and Ethan headed strait for Noah. They really weren't paying attention and didn't see him. But he saw them. All too well. He couldn't get out of the way fast enough and before he knew it his green eyes connected with the most beautiful brown eyes in the entire world. And he knew that she saw that they were watery. So she did the only thing she could do. She looked away.

Never in all his life did Ethan think that Theresa would forgive him. When he called off the wedding, he knew that she went to Noah Bennett for comfort. He knew that Noah was in love with Theresa. He saw the looks that he gave her. They were the same looks that Ethan gave to Theresa and that unfortunetly for Noah, they were the same looks that Theresa gave to Ethan.

Ethan felt bad for the guy. Yes, he did. Ethan Crane felt bad for Noah Bennett. Why you may ask yourself? Because Noah Bennett lost Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald. And Ethan knew how that felt. To loose the most precious thing in this world. But he was blessed by fate, and was given another chance. And that was something that he was not going to give up. Never.

And so Noah turned around one last time to see Ethan and Theresa walk almost
out of sight. With one last sigh, he turned around and started walking the
other way.

"I'm happy for you Resa, I really am. I'll never foreget about you, but I'm
happy for you."

And sincerely he meant that. It was time for Noah Bennett to move on from
Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald. With time he knew he could. There would always be
memories. And she would never be out of his life for good. They were still
friends. And right now that was enough.
