Opononi Nice village in the wonderful Hokianga-Harbour (westcoast of the Northland) Dargaville - Waipua-Forest - Opononi- Rawene - Vehicle-Ferry / Kaikohe . Bus stop, wharf, boat-trips to the sand-dunes for the unique fun of boogie/sand - boarding, Andrews Store Opononi, Opo--Take-away (wonderful fish and Kumara chips), war memorial hall, petrol station, Hotel, Pub , telephone-card cabine, all in walking distance from the Backpackers The question is not if but only when you visit the wonderful region north of AKL: the far North of NZ (Northland).. TWIN-COAST: Going to the Bay of Islands (East Coast) / Cape Reinga means returning along the wild West Coast and relaxing in the Hokianga (with more nature & less tourists)! ... and by the way... to kiss a dolphin is awfully simple, to miss Opononi is simply awful!!! and you can see orcas (killer-whales) from time to time too in the Hokianga	in the House of Harmony where Harmony is not only a word...
