The information below comes from their research looking for confirmation that their relative, Joseph NELSON 1833-1894 Master Mariner was married to Belle Carston MUNCE {and /or Margaret Bingham Muntz} one "great aunt NELSON was living in the Palatine House, in Killough".
Joseph NELSON was first mate on the
"James Alexander" when it was "lost" Jan 1860,
"Master of the Sardinia" 1860- 1867 when
it was condemned,
Master of the "St Fillans" 1868. All these
ships went to the East Indies.

The will 30 June 1892 Executors Edward
NELSON of Dublin James MUNCE of Dungannon, William NELSON of Limerick,
Alexander NELSON of Waterford.
"To my dear wife Margaret the house and
premises in Killough which I lately bought form Patrick Corriston and all
the residue of my estate, with remainder to my brothers and sisters equally.
If Robert NELSON survives me , the executors are either to invest his share
for him or pay it to him in bulk.
To my nieces Harriet, Emma, Gertrude and
Grace PAYNE 100 pounds each.
To my nephew Joseph NELSON son of William
NELSON my watch and chain."
Probate was granted in Dublin 3 april 1894 Joseph having died 1894 in Atlantic Ave Belfast, to Edward NELSON of Eglington Terrace, Ranelagh, Do Dublin, bookkeeper brother of the deceased; James MUNCE of Atlantic Avenue aforesaid, gent and Alexander NELSON of 10 William Street Waterford, merchant brother of the deceased. Effects 2,286 pounds. NB William an executor was not listed on the Probate certificate.
1901 Census.
Margaret B NELSON 1901 was living in the
Palatine House, Castle Square, Killough, in the Census as Head of House,
Church of Ireland, aged 59 born Co Down, and James MUNCE visitor Methodist
aged 70 retired Inland Revenue Inspector, born Co. Down.
Margaret Bingham NELSON was 93 when she died 1925 see her death certificate, and Alexander MUNCE of Kildares Crew, was with her when she died. The Killough parish registers have one Margaret Nelson widow of a master mariner when she died 1925. [ Thus Margaret Bingham or Margaret Bingham XXX XX born c 1832]
One headstone in Killough churchyard says Arthur Bingham MUNCE died 13 November 1938 aged 67.
Killough parish records show Newell MUNCE, Joseph MUNCE and Joseph NELSON were all vestry men between 1870-1884.
