This page pays tribute to a great little local club THE RAT TRAP CAFE The Rat Trap hosted many of the Earwax shows in the early-to-mid 80's and provided the local scene with a cool hangout where the beer ws cold, and you could watch a couple bands with as much intimacy as having them in your home. The management was cool, and every show was a party. Good friends - Good Punk! Located in nearby Haledon, NJ (a good local "bar strip" because of it's proximity to Paterson State) the Rat Trap was an easy night out - but maybe a challenging ride home. Formerly, it was The Peanut Gallery, and hosted mostly local cover bands. But occasionally it had some good Punk shows...like KRAUT..who I've seen there.
