Daniel Radcliffe : Harry Potter The Boy born to be Harry At the age off 11 *.*, Daniel has got the part as Harry Potter in this year's film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone! *.* Daniel comes from a show business family, His mother, Marcia Gresham, 44, supplies actors for programmes such as the BBC's The Wyvern Mysteries and the Warriors.

Daniel's father, Alan, 42, left Northern Ireland more than 20 years ago to study at the Guildford school of Acting. Daniel got  the part, wai, but it was actually suspected to be an American star, these include, Haley Joel Osment, from AI,  Liam Aiken from Stepmom and Jake Lloyd, who appeared in Star Wars.

But even though Daniel was called to test for the part, he didn't turn up.

Daniel says , "I told my friend there was no point in me going up for it because I wouldn't get it. I said: 'Freddy, there are thousands of boys, if not millions, who want to do it. Why should it be me?' "! When the news came, Daniel's reaction to winning the part showed he understood the fame this could bring. He admits : " I cried - and then I was really excited. My dad came in and said: 'Dan, guess who the've chosen for Harry Potter?' When he said , ' Dan, it's you!' it was the biggest shock of my life." And it's surprising to find that he hadn't read all the Harry Potter books!
