HISTORY OF HARVEST CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

Harvest Christian Fellowship in Warner Robins, Georgia, started as a Church of God of Prophecy tent revival on the corner of Bell Drive and Lydrick Avenue in 1958 with Rev. Jack Bryant in charge.  Meetings were held under the tent and God blessed in a mighty way like in the old time camp meetings.  Some of the services were under such anointing and power that the police were called to come out and tried to put a stop to the services.  Rev. M.B. Stearman was said to have told the police that "this is the Lord's work, we'll stop when God is through, not until."

In June 1958, the church was organized by Rev. Jack Bryant who was pastoring the Houston Avenue  church in Macon, Georgia at the time.  Rev. Bryant took care of the new church in Warner Robins until the State Convention when Rev. Willis was appointed as its first official pastor.  The charter members of the church were:

M.B. Stearman
Birdie Stearman

Dessie Phillips

Charles Fender

Bobbie Fender

The church grew in number with the membership increasing and growing in the Lord and the community.

I1959: The church purchased a garage from Mrs. Parrott on Curtis Street.  Some time later (when Rev. Clinton Fields was the pastor) a church building was constructed.  During the pastorate of the late Rev. William Lamb, Sr., the church was renovated and improved in many ways.

1993: The church relocated to a new building during the pastorate of Rev. J.A. Brookshire to its current location on South Houston Lake Road.

The Warner Robins church continues to function in the "International City" with a constantly changing congregation over the years, largely due to neighboring Robins Air Force Base.

2003: The church was renamed "Harvest Christian Fellowship".
