Morality:

Islam develops high morality in conducts of its followers. The Messenger (s) has said, “Those among you are the best who are best in their morals” (Agreed upon).

Some high moral attributes are:

  1. Belief and practice of Oneness of God.
  2. Taqwa (Fear of God): All Muslims are required to fulfill their duties as required by Allah. They must save themselves from sins.
  3. Patience: All Muslims are advised to show patience in peace or war, tranquility or calamity, richness or poverty, health or sickness, pity or cruelty, etc.
  4. Gratitude: All Muslims must always show their gratitude to Allah for his bounties. They must also show gratitude to others fellow humans even on small favor. Those who do not show gratitude to others do not thank Allah either.
  5. Trust: All Muslims are advised to struggle hard as much as they can, and leave the result to Allah. They should trust Allah in every matter of their life, after taking necessary precaution. They should trust each other in mutual dealings.
  6. Honesty: Muslims must be honest in their promises, businesses, advices, etc. Those who betray trust or honesty are not believers.
  7. Charity: Muslims must help other fellow humans in their need. This help can be of giving money, making physical effort, spending time, or teaching knowledge, etc. To smile at each other at meeting time is also charity. To remove a stone from a road is also charity.
  8. Greetings: Muslims should greet others with peace. If they are greeted by others, they should greet back with same words or with better ones.
  9. Sacrifice: Muslims should sacrifice their wealth, health, and time for others, even though they might need them for their own causes.
  10. Gentleness: Muslims should be gentle in their approach to others. They talk softly. They show compassion.
  11. Forgiveness: Muslims forgive others on their provocative words or deeds.

12. Modesty: Muslims must adopt modesty in their approach and dealing. It is half of

      their Faith.

13. Cleanliness: Muslims must adopt cleanliness and purity. It is half of their Faith.

 

Immorality:

Islam treats all such acts or words as immoral which hurt or usurp rights of other:

Associating others in any form with Allah in his attributes, authority, or rights;

Unlawful Killing; Drinking Intoxicants; Obscenity; Fornication; Adultery; Interest Dealings; ; Telling Lies;  Cheating; Fraud; Envy; Backbiting; Spying; Calling Name; Baseless Suspicion; Insult; Ridicule; Making Fun; Breach of Promise and Trust; Taunting; Calumniation; Slandering; Abuse; Cruelty; Trespassing, etc.
