Awesome
20th Birthday
|
The
night before my 20th birthday I made a wish. I wish I could be a blessedly
happy girl. Thank God my dream came true on my 20th birthday.
As same as usual, I hanged at my parents' room and listened to scores of fast-beat songs in the morning. In the afternoon, the game started. Colum and I chatted for quite a long time with the ICQ. He told me that he wanted to have his hair straightened. Since it was pretty hard to talk in English and he was really really bored (so was I), we decided to talk on phone instead. We had a talked for more than an hour. It was cool as I missed him a lot. Then Candy rang me up right after the long-distance call. She said she would like to see me, so we met at the crystal shop. I quickly dressed up and rushed to Tin Hau. We stayed at the shop for a while. She asked me to choose anything in the shop and would give me that as a birthday present. I chose the white (actually it was transparent) crystal bracelet as it looked very nice to pair with my another rose-quartz crystal bracelet. Afterwards, we had a drink or two at a Hong Kong style coffee shop. Though I really wanted to stay longer, I had to leave for Central right away. On the way to meet Hung Sai and Tammy, I bumped into the cute hairdresser inside the Central MTR Station! Well, I was quite nervous because he was so intimidating. You know what I mean, right? Hung Sai, Tammy and I had a wonderful dinner in a Thai food restaurant. We ate up all the food and that made us become some kind of gourmands that night. I swear, the Thai food was incredibly amazing! Since then, we turned to be Thai food maniacs. Moreover, Hung Sai said Happy Birthday to me for Doric. Besides eating, we talked a lot, joked a lot and of course, laughed a lot. Before we left, they surprised me with a big and delicious ice-cream birthday cake together with a birthday song. Gosh, I was so touched! The next best thing to the blessed meal was a walk in Lan Kwai Fong and somewhere around Central. We almost could not move for we were really really full. We walked and walked and took some pictures. During the carousel session, Janice and Ceci greeted me. Long-distance phone call was not cheap, but they still phoned me just to say Happy Birthday! I was once again, touched. It was so sweet of them. After all, we realized that it was very late already (12 a.m.) and we had to go. Take note that Christina's greeting came first as a birthday gift, followed by Alan Man, Crystale Kwok and Jacky Fung's count-down on the eve of my birthday. Henry Chow failed to greet me on time as he did not get to ring my home phone. He was forgiven because he had sent me an ICQ message, at least. My mom also bought me a cheese cake. Not surprisingly, my dad was out of town, same as the last few years. I promise, it was the most fantastic birthday I have ever had. Not only that I was turning to 20-something, but there were such a huge bunch of people celebrating my birthday. Thank you guys! Thank you, God, for sending such sweet and nice and awesome friends to me. Thank you so much.
