In Your Car

The streetlights are on, I am your first passenger.
The dusk brushes my cheeks, I feel tenderness.

I lend you my hand, you lend me your shoulder.
I give you my fingers, you give me your lips.
You lend me your heat, I lend you my sweat.

You give me your voice, I give you my smile.

You hold my ticket, I keep your secret.
You sniff my whisper, I touch your feather.
You store my images, I lock your messages.
You open my window, I hug your pillow.

Don't say sorry to me, I don't want to cry.
Don't draw me a beautiful picture, I don't want to sigh.
Just say those words again, won't you comfort me?
I am calling you, can you hear me?

Gasoline is running out, please refill the tank.
We are reaching the exit, please try another way.
The broadcaster is telling the time, please turn the radio off.
The moon is getting far, please tell the stars to shine brighter.

The air is filled with silence, we are breathing freedom.
When the dawn comes, will I still be in your car?
