Charles W. Rich FamilyColonel Rich owned the land on which the Sullivan-Kilrain fight took place, and also served as mayor of Hattiesburg, Mississippi from 1902-1906 and from 1911-1913. Colonel Rich died on December 5, 1913, at the age of 49. His wife, Laura Heustis Rich, died in March, 1918. Both are interred in Oaklawn Cemetery, in Hattiesburg. |
