Old Hattiesburg High SchoolThe High School is circa 1911, and was Hattiesburg's High School from 1922 until 1959, with J.T. Wallace serving as principle. Robert E. Lee, the architect that designed the City Hall and other office buildings downtown that served as lumber offices, built the addition onto the older 1911 structure in 1921. The building is an enormous example of Jacobean Revival and remains the same today, structurally, although antiques now rest where feet previously strolled to classes.
