	Unlocking Rare Monsters for Monster Rancher 2
		Version 1.0

	Alright, so you've started that really fun game called Monster Rancher 2 and you go
over to the shrine to unlock your first monster.  You grab your favorite CD, and to your 
suprise, it says "Sorry, you are not allowed to unlock this disc".  What gives?  For about 
60% of the monsters in the game, you must fullfill requirements in order to unlock them.  I 
have composed a little guide here that will get you unlocking more discs in no time!

				GROUP UNLOCKINGS

AT THE START OF THE GAME- In the beginning, there are several monsters that you can already
unlock.  They are (In no particular order) Ape, Pixie, Jell, Tiger, ColorPandora, Zuum,
Naga, Hare, Hopper, Kato, Suezo, Arrow Head, Mocchi, Gaboo, Plant, and Monol.  However, if 
the sub breed of one of these monsters is still too rare for you, you can't unlock it.  
There are some exceptions though.  Dragon, Worm, Henger, Gali, Mew, Golem, and Baku sub 
breeds are allowed.  Not as main breeds though.

IMA-FIMBA MEET- This tournement is held every 4 years starting from 1001.  On the 4th week 
of July, if your monster is D class or better, there is an elimination match.  You have to 
win this to participate in the meet.  Once you beat it, you just have to participate in the 
Meet and not necessarily win.  Once you have done this, you can unlock Hengers, Worms, Mews,
and Galis.

STABLE UPGRADE- When you are 4th rank and have at least 1700 gold, on the 4th week of May 
you will be asked to upgrade the stable.  Do so and you will be able to unlock Golems and 
Bakus (bigger stable, bigger monsters).

HOT SPRINGS- You must have a Hopper main breed monster.  During the Winter, if the Hopper 
has no stress and fatigue and is B class or higher it will excavate the hot springs.  You 
will find a Slate which you can use to unlock an Undine.  Once you have unlocked it, you can 
unlock Undines and Nitons from CDs.

				SEPERATE UNLOCKINGS

PHOENIX- When on the Kawrea Volcano Expedition, find a FIRE FEATHER and use it when 
combining any two monsters to get a Phoenix.  You can now unlock Phoenixs'.

GHOST- A monster must die.  Some time later you will be asked to upgrade the altar.  Do so 
and you will be asked again another couple of years.  Once you have upgraded it twice, Colt 
will find a STICK/STAFF.  Use it when combining any two monsters to get a ghost.  You can 
now unlock Ghosts.

MOCK- Once you are 4th rank, go to the Shop and Auntie will give you some seeds.  During the
course of several years, the tree will grow, bloom, and die.  You must then let a monster 
die after the tree is dead.  A Mock will be waiting for you in the stable when you return 
from the funeral.  Yous can now unlock Mocks.

DUCKEN- When you are on the Torles Mountain Expedition, you must find some STRONG GLUE.  
Once this is done, you must collect five star jelly cups and send away for a Quack Doll.  
Don't give the doll to your monster and then use it as a seasoning to make a Ducken.  You 
can now unlock Duckens.

DRAGON- If you are at least 6th rank and your current monster is Class B and you have the 
first upgrade to your stable, you will get invited to a Invitational fight on August 2nd.  
It's a single fight against a dragon. If you win, you receive the Dragon Tusk. Use this item
as a seasoning when combining any two monsters together to get the Dragon. 

CENTAUR- Several years into the game when you have achieved a rank of 4 or better and your 
current is Class B or better go to the Mandy Desert errantry, the monster might return with 
a Spear. When it returns a Centaur will attack your monster. You don't need to win this 
fight. Use the Spear as a seasoning when combining any two monsters together to get the 
Centaur. 

BEACLON- You will need a Worm [Worm/Worm]. It must live to 4 years or more. It must have had
NO stress and NO Fatigue in its lifetime, that means NO ERRANTRY, NO HIGH FATIGUE TRAINING, 
AND LOTS OF REST. Regular drills are ok as long as you rest him after you drill him a couple
times. Its loyalty needs to be 80 or higher and its rank needs to be E or D. It needs to be 
fed at least 30 cups of jelly in its lifetime. If all of these conditions are met and your 
monster is "Very Well" and has not stress on the 4th week of June he will spin a cocoon 
around himself. 1 week later emerges a Beaclon with the same stats as your worm. 

WRACKY- Your monster must have a fame of 90 or above and it must be after the year 1005. You
also must be rank 7 or higher. A fan will send you a doll. If you throw it away you will get
it back next month. Once you decide to keep it, it will disappear. The next time a monster 
dies the Wracky comes alive. 

DURAHAN- Go on the Parepare adventure. Your monster will eventually find the old sheath. The
next time you go to the shop you will hear a story about some stolen swords. When your 
monster is class A, you will be invited to a special Invitational on February, 4th week. 
Your prize is a Double Edged which can be used as a seasoning when combining any two 
monsters together to get a Durahan. 

ZILLA- Your current monster must be class B or higher and the hot spring must have been dug 
up (see HOT SPRING). You will need the first stable upgrade and a rank of 6 or higher. While
starting a Torble Sea errantry you will be told about the Zilla King.  Complete all four 
parts of your training and you will fight the Zilla King. If you win you will get the Zilla 
beard. Use in combining to get a Zilla. 

BAJARL- Once you have achieved at 8th rank your house will be upgraded the last time on the 
4th week of  May. You and Colt secretly watch the builder at work.  You will confront him 
and he will give you a pot. Use this item as a seasoning when combining any two monsters 
together to get the Bajarl. 

METALNER- You must be 8th rank or higher and have a class B monster and the year must be 
1010 or higher. If these conditions are met on Sept. 1 you will meet some aliens. You will 
meet them twice more and they will give you a crystal. Take it to the shrine and you can 
unlock Metalners from CDs. 

JILL- You will need to be 6th rank and your monster must be class B to find the Big Footstep
in the Torles Mountain expedition. After finding the big footstep go to the Torles Mountain 
errantry and you will be told about a creature wandering around.  You must complete all four
parts of the training and you will fight Big Hands. If you win you will get the Big Boots. 
Use this item as a seasoning when combining any two monsters together to get the Jill. 

JOKER- Find the Mask during a Kawrea Volcano expedition. Use this item as a seasoning when 
combining any two monsters together to get the Joker.
