About Mr. Hauser

About Mr. Hauser:

Hi there -- if you have made it to this page, you probably want to know a bit about me. On the personal level, I live in rural Belchertown, MA, with my wife Lisa, son Samuel, two dogs, and three cats, and I spend much of my free time hiking and mountain biking in and around the Quabbin Reservoir.  Professionally, I was once a newspaper reporter, but I left that behind to become an English teacher in the early 90s.  After teaching in Bethel, CT, and Palmer, MA, I spent three years at Enfield's Enrico Fermi High School, the last two as the English department chairman. I am currently in my first year as a full-time school administrator, working as the assistant principal at Coginchaug Regional High School, which serves the central Connecticut towns of Durham and Middlefield.

By the way, the background image is from Selden Pass looking down to Lake Marie, on the John Muir Trail in California's Sierra Range. The song is the old bluegrass classic "Salty Dog."
