Appearance: Gowan is large in many ways, yet he is not overpowering... much anyway. His black hair is cropped short enough to reveal a scar in his hairline from a training accident years ago. His hands are large and rough with sword calluses and his biceps bulge with the strength he gained as an apprentice blacksmith.

Personality: Gowan is a very strong and stable man, he is extremely slow to anger but once he is... watch out because it will be fierce. The one thing sure to prick his temper fast is the abuse of a child. Once this man is your enemy it's for life, luckily he doesn't make enemies easily as he will give nearly anyone the benefit of a doubt... once.

Short life story: Gowan was always the biggest kid his age. At the tender age of 9 he began an apprenticeship with the local blacksmith. He was 16 when Harlock decided to turn his life inside out, but he's never once regretted it. It was discovered during his training that he has perfect recall and a passion for history.

He was always among the better weapons students and after completing his Internship he immediately when into a position with the Army. Soon enough he distinguished himself against bandits and slavers and was brought to the attention of the new Lady Marshal Tanwen who personally asked the Queen for him to be assigned to her. Upon the retirement of Dean Nataly as Dean and Historian Gowan has taken up the mantle of Historian in addition to his role as Marshal's Herald.

Description: Warrior type build, very muscled and not the book smartest of the Companions but far from dim, he is quite exceptional at helping his Chosen see all the moves possible in a battle situation.
