Appearance: Black hair, pulled back in a warrior's tail. Dark brown eyes that look black except in bright light or sunlight. Strong features, almost severe except when she smiles, which is rarely. Dresses completely in black. The scabbards of her sword and dagger are black leather; even the tack of her battlemare is black.

Personality: Serious, practical. Pushes herself hard. Much like a herald, she will risk her own life to rescue another without hesitation. Hides her compassionate side most of the time.

Short Life Story: Was trained to be a hunter/scout. When she was 16, her family group traveled farther than usual looking for good hunting and grazing. One day, when Shadow (she had a different name then, Shadow is an adopted use-name) was out hunting, her family was attacked by change-animals under the control of a blood mage. Her family put up a good fight, but by the time Shadow returned, they were all killed.
Seeing what had happened, she killed the remaining change-beasts. Injured and exhausted, she made her way to back to the main Clan, where she swore herself to the goddess as Sword-sworn, and swore a vow of vengeance against the blood mage.

Unfortunately, the shaman of the Clan was unable to scry the responsible mage's location, or even his identity. Not even the leshya'e who trained her were able to point her in the right direction.
Although she has not given up on vengeance, she acts much like a swordsworn not currently under vengeance-oath until she can find some clue that will let her take up the hunt again. She came to Haven to deliver a series of messages to the Shin'a'in ambassadors, and having nothing better to do is staying in Haven for a while. She is hoping to get the chance to train with the Herald-Weaponsmaster, and is willing to work either as a bodyguard or a horse-trainer.

She is skilled with the sword and the bow, and is an excellent rider and horse-trainer. She has a battlemare named Wardancer.
