Position: Unaffiliate trainee, 1st year. 4th son of a minor noble from the country side of the Northern Forest

Appearance: Thorben is of average height for his age and has short dark brown hair and green-brown eyes that usually have a cool expression in them. He is slim and has a trained body because he is used to riding and was trained at home in weaponry but is far from looking muscular or strong.

Personality: Thorben believes his father just sent him to
Court because he wanted to get rid of his last born child for whom he has no use at all. He is not happy about being sent to Haven and doesn't see any reason why he should be grateful for that. That makes him to a rather rebellious student who neither wants to learn anything nor wants to make friends.
He just wants to return home and maybe, who knows, one day he'll just saddle his horse and sneak from the palace...

Short Life Story: Thorben is the last born of the four sons of Rickard of Greywood, a minor noble from the Northern Forest. He is much younger than his three brothers Rickard (32), Marik (31) and Thomas (26) who usually ignored the baby brother. Thorben's mother died when he was four in childbed together with the girl that she gave birth to which made the boy cling to his father during his childhood. While Rickard and Marik were trained as warriors, Thomas was sent to the priests when he was about Thorben's age.

Now old Rickard feels it's time for him to follow his wife,
being old and sick, and he sends his youngest to the Court where he hopes the boy will be better off than at home. Actually he fears for his safety because the two
oldest don't get along with each other and old Rickard
doesn't want Thorben to be stuck in the fight over the land that Rickard and Marik will start once the father is gone. Besides, education at the Court is all that the loving father can give his youngest son as heritage, even if the boy doesn't understand yet.
