Bush supporters suffering from diarrhea of the mouth

and

constipated brains

What is the world are Bush supporters thinking - trying to pass his use of cocaine off as a youthful mistake. And that is after brow-beating Mr. Clinton unmercifully just for a one-time (maybe) trying of marijuana. And, none outside the inner circle know for sure when Bush stopped or, even, if he has stopped using the drug. Or, do they?

Where is the value system mouthed off about month after long dreary month by anti-Clintonites? Did the value system change? Or, in fact, do GOPers NOT have a value system they can be pinpointed to? That is, other than a value system that fits their needs at the moment.

Really, wouldn’t it be rather difficult to have a man in office that used an illegal drug for years as the leader of the war against drugs? Wouldn’t it rather undermine the campaign to convince young people to NOT use illegal drugs (and legal ones such as alcohol and nicotine)?

Bush is so non-committal that it is obvious he is hiding additional facts. Doesn’t that make you wonder IF he stopped? Not only that, but a 28 to ?? year-old didn’t commit a mistake of youth; he committed his ‘violations of law’ as an adult when he should have known the difference between legal/illegal and right/wrong.

Or maybe those who class it as a youthful mistake are speaking chronologically rather than of maturation level and of a felonious act by a lawbreaker as an ‘experiment’ rather than a criminal act (how a private citizen would be treated).

I wonder what else will come out about Bush. While high, did he act as a philanderer? Was he faithful to his family, his wife? Or was his dedication to his wife and family out the door while snorting the drug?

I read one writer’s letter that he thought what Bush did was not of importance, that what was important was what Bush could do as the leader of this nation. Well, I can answer that - Bush can’t do anything for this country except cause it additional strife. He is not presidential material. It is that simple. And all the money in the world won’t change that.

He hasn’t ever committed to, nor can he clearly define, an acceptable value system and show he lives by that system. Oh, he may be able to mouth acceptable beliefs but his past behaviors prove his mouthed beliefs are as false as his statements of his using illegal drugs, whether he stopped 25 years ago, seven years ago, or just last night.

Why put this nation through another 5 years (counting the campaign year) just because his daddy was president and because he has the most money to spend on the campaign? Why not just admit that Bush is a terrible choice as a potential president and send him back to Texas where he can snort in peace, just as he has in the past?

Really, don’t you all get it? Republicans had a heck of a time finding someone clean enough to replace Gingrich, a guy who was about as corrupted as corrupted can be. What GOPers now want as president is some guy they completely control.

The leaders in the party are too corrupted and know they have little chance of being elected. Therefore, they decided Bush, Jr. would have a chance since his daddy was once president. (This was, of course, before his cocaine snorting came to light but now the party has to stand behind their choice just as they did when Gingrich’s ‘mistake’ of illegally using donated educational funds came out).

That is why he is in the position he is now in, NOT because he has the potential of being a “good” president. He is not one who would work to do away with every unconstitutional law affecting our rights and work to get rid of the two biggest rip-offs ever by the government, applying federal income tax (applies only to DC, its residents, and aliens) to citizens of states and, of course, social security.

So, if you want this country to deteriorate even further than it has, then by all means, put your support behind the man the leaders of the Republican Party have chosen, which is, in this case, Bush. And pay the price later unless you are quite wealthy and/or one of those already pulling the strings behind the scenes.

One last thought. If one commits a felony, that person is a felon whether convicted for such - or not? The rest of the world is watching - and it is seeing a major political party with more and more of its leading members ‘confessing’ to be felons which my thesaurus tells me is a “criminal”.

Surely that does not gel with maintaining a semblance of respect for our laws and our nation; that is, to knowingly try to get a known criminal in the office of the presidency.

After all, confessing to felonies does not make one innocent of criminal activities, does it? Or, does this only apply to us poor citizens and not to members of government?

Guess we should ask the millions now in prison or who have been fined for minor drug violations.
