So you think you are free

Most of us believe that we live in a land in which the individual and his freedom reigns supreme. We believe we are in a nation that allows choices be made by the individual in his pursuit of happiness. This is simply not true.

If you don’t believe this, try to get get something done without a social security number. As examples, try to get a job without one. Try to get a bank transaction done. Try to enroll in college courses. Try to get a driver’s license. Try to apply for state aid or any state program.

Without a social security number, you can do none of the above. And, it is going to get worse thanks to a Republican majority in Congress.

Republicans promised smaller government but are now enacting tax laws that will do away with additional Constitutional rights. The push is for DOT (Department of Transportation) to require that every driver license be identified with a social security number even though thousands in this country object due to personal and religious reasons.

Another requirement in the near future will be that every driver’s license also have the individual’s fingerprints on it.

Instead of making government smaller, the Republican ran Congress is actually trying to make government larger and stronger.

Any government requirement concerning privacy or "tracking" usually removes one of your freedoms. Social security numbers and finger prints are tracking devices. With the two, any government agency can detect anything about you they desire.

Any such requirement removes your right to pursue any employment you wish and closes the door to most business transactions. By the government requiring the number, you may not even apply for the job nor apply for loans, such as for business, unless you give your number. This has removed your right of pursuing the livelihood of your choice.

This is being done in the camoflauge of tracking dead-beat fathers across state lines. With a social security number being required, the task is much easier.

But, how many of you are dead-beat fathers? Right now, at this moment in time, I don’t know any, including myself.

So, again, in the guise of “doing it for the children”, Washington politicians are once again going against the Constitution and hoaxing the people into giving up part of their privacy, their freedom.

Ever see a herd of cattle with the little red or orange clips on their ears? Those are a means of tracking.

Well, Folks, the requirement of social security numbers as being applied is nothing more than a means the government uses to clip your ears.

And, that’s the way it is as we head at a faster pace, thanks to the Republican Congress, into Welles’s 1984, the lair of a malevolent Big Brother.
