Just a Thought!

Say, anti-Clintonites, I have a thought. For five years, you have done nothing for this country while you endeavored to do all you could to discredit President Clinton.

Now, whether you know it or not, your job while in Congress, is to run this country with the best interests of the people in mind, not to engage in political, party garbage.

If you are part of the media, your job is to report factual news to us, not to engage in political party antics and make your attempts at manipulating our way of thinking to the way you think.

If you are part of the Starr organization, we don’t need you spending spending millions beating a dead horse. In the thousands upon thousands of pages of material you have collected, there must not be a shred of evidence of wrong-doing by Mr. Clinton or you would have acted upon it months and months ago.

Your job isn’t to be part of a plan to discredit the president and we taxpayers really don’t want our money spent on your feeble efforts at carrying out Republican plans for undermining the effectiveness of Mr. Clinton.

So, here’s the idea, Congress, and I realize it may be foreign to you, but how about working with President Clinton and representing us as you should, in a joint, non-partisan, representative democracy manner.

It is true you should do the best you can for your constituency but it is also true that what is best for the majority takes priority over that premise. Besides, you know as well as I that your interference with smooth government is not in the best interests of your constiuency or this country but, instead, is nothing more than party politics at its worst.

So, lay off, Congress, biased media personnel, Starr, and solve the problems we need solved - don’t create more just for your own self-perceived political or special interest group benefits.
