Polls

I just took the Harris Poll online and it clearly supported what I have been contending for decades - that the results too often depend on how questions are worded.

As an example, on question was whether I leaned towards the Democratic or Republican Party, along with the potential response of ‘not sure’. None of this are the choices I would have made since I lean towards neither and am quite certain of that. It is my firm belief that these two parties and the individuals in them are destroying the precepts this nation was founded on.

Or, would I vote for Gore or Bush? The truth is I will vote for neither of these two unless someone holds a gun to my head. I am certain of that.

Or, would I vote for Gore or Dole? Again, the only response I would like to have made is neither but that, of course, wasn’t a choice of potential responses.

I could give other examples but these clearly point out that polls questions can be designed to illicit response which may lead to the pollsters’ intended findings, not factual representations of what people are thinking. In fact, in this poll, the last several questions invalidated the poll.

One last point. It also asked if I was interested in the next presidential election. I am but not for the reasons they might think. I am interested because I think it is highly likely that the results are being worked out right now, just as they were last major election. (Remember ABC putting the results out the Day Before the Election with over 80 percent accuracy) You see, it is just too easy to electronically manipulate election results, even easier than asking questions in a manner to illicit specific findings.

I will make a prediction without a poll based on the above paragraph. Elections are bought. Bush has the most money. Therefore, Bush, God forbid, will be the next president.

I must say 'Damn those who think this man should be the leader of this nation or even in politics.' We just really don't need another corrupted, lying Bush in the White House for big money to control and to further his own agendas using government (actually taxpayers') resources.
