Anyway, it made me think. Why would a major party with a member of the party holding the coveted seat of the President of the United States want to increase unemployment? And I am sure it was a goal and was truly on Reagan’s mind since Freudian slips always reveal the truth of hidden thoughts.
Well, in this case, if unemployment did increase, which it did, it would mean that the party would have the opportunity to do things ‘to fix the situation’ and everyone would think they were the greatest thing on Earth.
So, in other words, the object of attention was to increase unemployment, then put through meaningless legislation designed to decrease unemployment, at least in the public's eye.
Also, by getting people to focus on unemployment, the government with mainstream media help could do other things in the form
of distorting the Constitution, keeping people’s attention off of CIA drug dealings in LA and Reagan’s full knowledge and compliance with Contra affair. You know, like keep the
people’s attention on their own miserable plights rather than allowing them to focus on what the feds are actually doing.
Well, if those were the goals, it worked. Except for decreasing unemployment. That really got rolling when Clinton came into office. But does that mean Clinton was responsible?
Possibly. But, more probable is that it was just part of the federal government's plan which just happened to be instated during Reagan's administration. The advantage would, of course, be to fool the people into believing they had a benevolent federal government instead of a near-to totalitarian government.
Just as many are warning, be very aware of what the feds are doing and their hidden agendas.
