Something’s missing

“If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.”
Samuel Adams - 1780

For sure, we have vain, aspiring men in the highest seats in Government. In fact, they are so sure of their power that they do not hesitate to make laws which are clearly against the Constitution. And, what do they aspire to? Nothing more than more money which translates to power in this nation and the world.

Rather than doing as the Constitution dictates, these people in power violate the rights of the individual which affects every American citizen in some way. They often do so without any statute supporting their actions. Those actions can ruin lives or affect them so drastically the people targeted no longer function one hundred percent effectively for the rest of their lives.

They are, in essence, ruined. The more individuals who are ruined by Government, the closer we are to this nation being ruined as a Republic. How is it these people get by with destroying the rights of the individual?

A minor example - scratch that - no violation of the Constitution by government is ‘minor’ - an example of rights having been removed is the stops of innocent citizens by law enforcement agencies. The agencies justify the stops by “the war against drugs”, the “war against dead-beat dads”, the "war against crime”, and any other garbage reason they can come up with.

In far too many instances the stops have resulted in innocent people’s possessions, including money, vehicles, and any other valuable property, being seized and the individuals accused of committing crimes. People are bullied, terrorized, arrested and hauled off to jail, and made to prove their innocence rather than the justice system having to prove their guilt.

What was the crime they were accused of? Why, the dirty rotten criminals - they had a large amount of cash so they must be drug dealers. What a crock. I once had $10,000 dollars with me in cash but was I a drug dealer? Not hardly. I was changing banks. I had closed one account and was on my way to another bank to start an account in a city that was central to my sales organization.

But, had I been stopped, it is very likely my motorhome, car, and money would have been confiscated (seized as evidence) resulting in my having to spend huge sums to get my money and property back. And the outcome would have been uncertain as to my recovering my stolen property.

In a recent short article on a back page of a newspaper, I read of the upcoming review of the constitutionality of the so-called previous ruling by the Supreme Court that allows highway (including city streets, back roads, and all other thorough fares) stops by cops. The court is supposedly going to determine whether such stops are indeed legal.

Heck, I can tell them. Stops of innocent people aren’t constitutional. Nor are seizures of property, nor searches without a duly issued search warrant. The 4th, 5th, and 14th Amendments are violated.

Every citizen has the right to travel where he wishes. The only time he may be legally stopped is in the event a traffic law has been violated or he or his vehicle matches the description of a suspect being looked for. Then, in order to be searched, or his vehicle searched, the ‘officers’ must have a search warrant. Without these, officers are violating the laws they are hired to protect.

If the Supreme Court rules otherwise, as it has done, they do so in violation of the Constitution of these united States and, in effect, conspire to remove rights of the individual. This is as treasonous as aiding a foreign country which has the potential of invading this country and forcibly removing rights.

Justify the removing of rights for the ‘wars against -- whatever’ is no different than a foreign country doing so. It is done by force and is done by an organization that hasn’t any jurisdiction over the 50 States making up this union, the US Government.

Furthermore, since stopping people from proceeding in their intended path is in violation of the Constitution that links the 50 States together as a union, the accepted “Supreme Law of the Land”, no state may make any law repugnant to the Constitution. Therefore, no state may authorize vehicular stops and searches.

By the way, showing identification is a search. It is no different than any other totalitarian government that has ‘searched’ people for their ‘papers’. Unless a person is suspected of a crime, a person does not have to tell a law enforcement officer anything at all, let alone be escorted to jail or hindered in any other way from pursuing his constitutional rights.

Some people who may not understand the purpose of government and of the Constitution will make really dumb-butt comments, such as: “I don’t do anything wrong so what do I care?” These people haven’t any concept whatsoever of what ‘freedom’ is. Nor, do they understand this is a Republic that is designed to protect the rights of the individual. People such as these are as un-American as any who attempt to remove rights forcibly or by legislation repugnant to the Constitution.

What will it take to get a rise from these people? That is a mystery. Theft of earnings hasn’t accomplished it. See, there is not any law in existence that allows the federal government to make any law stating citizens must pay direct taxes on their property which includes their earnings.

Rights may not be taxed and the right to work to earn a living, to apply one’s talents, is a right and not taxable. Because of the Constitution, no American citizen of the 50 states may be forced to pay tax on their domestic earnings. Show me the law that requires domestic earnings be classed as ‘taxable income’. You can’t - it doesn’t exist. But, laws protecting domestic earnings do exist.

People are convinced they must get a social security number and be part of a welfare, pyramid scheme that is as unconstitutional as can be. No citizen has to allow himself to be numbered by government and provide support for others. It is forced identification and entry into a tax system that is unconstitutional for a citizen. And, yet, people continue entering the system because of fraudulent claims by the government and those who are just flat-out ignorant of the laws that do exist.

Thus, half of people’s earnings are taken by the federal government under false pretenses and laws that not only do not exist but, also, are not permitted to exist.

City governments often make laws affecting people’s property. Most are illegal as they are against the Constitution of the united States of America. Some will state this is allowed by the 10th Amendment but it isn’t. No amendment allows a state to make any law contrary to the Constitution and every state joining the union accepted the Constitution as is.

So, should you live in a city that has some law telling you what you may or may not have on your property, fight to rid yourself of it. It doesn’t matter if it was voted on by the majority or not. We do NOT live in a democracy in which the majority determines laws that may be made without properly amending the Constitution of the united States. We live in a Republic in which the rights of the individual remain supreme.

Concerning the 2nd Amendment (right to keep and bear arms), there are thousands of laws on the books that are not constitutionally legal. Government hasn’t any right whatever to tell any innocent citizen what weapon he may purchase and keep. If a law-abiding citizen has the money to buy a tank or fighter plane, he may do so. If he wishes an automatic weapon, it is his right to buy one.

This could go on for several volumes, just as illegal laws enacted by Congress do, but - to the point.

This campaign, just as the last, makes me sick at heart. Damn, People, how close-minded to the facts are you? Not one candidate has fought to uphold the Constitution. Bush isn’t a reformer or a person who cares in the slightest about you people out there. He’s actually a nobody (Be honest. How many of you regular people had even heard of the coke-snorting clod before 1999?) that Congress and big business know they can control.

McCain hasn’t fought to re-instate the Constitution as written; Gore could care less about the individual rights of the people; Bradley nor any of the other well-know (or little known) wannabes will stand up to the federal government and tell you, the People, the truth concerning the limits of federal government control.

This campaign is about money and the power it buys. That is all. The truth - as always - is missing.
