Feds take over....and we let them

I used to just be scared of the federal government of this nation. Now I am terrified. Not for me, personally, but for this nation and the generations following me.

For the past couple of weeks, suffering from complete frustration because of recognizing the intent of the government and not being able to get enough articles published, I sort of eased off on my reading and writing. I had decided there was little else I could do other than live out the balance of my life in hoped for seclusion from federal tyranny.

Then, a few minutes ago, I read my emails and had a link to an article by David Bresnahan, “The Imperial Presidency” which I read. One never knows where a spark will come from.

The article (a good one, I might add with the exception below) dealt with Executive Order 13083, an order which would essentially remove all restraints on government. It was stopped but will be modified. But, the modifications are not going to make any difference as the intent of the order will remain the same, that of giving government agencies free rein to do anything they want.

Of course, anti-Clintonites are blaming the order on Clinton. Folks, it isn’t just Clinton. Mr. Bresnahan can call him the Imperial President but it just isn’t so. It is a subterfuge by power-controlling members of Congress and the administration to dupe the people of this nation into once again allowing government to delimit itself and further limit the control of the people.

Think. Clinton’s last term is almost ended so it doesn’t matter if he is made the “bad guy” or not.

Here’s how it works. Clinton puts forth 13083 (May, 1998). Key members of Congress act all upset over it and the president backs down on it by suspending it. All of those participating in the plan promise changes. And the media expounds on the changes. Wow, it appears Congress is at work over-turning an Executive Order and working to limit government.

The public thinks Congress has protected their rights and they have - just as they have with federal income tax being applied outside of the District of Columbia, social security, national ID’s, and so on. Congress protects us so well that they are the reason we don’t pay income taxes on our personal incomes, that we don’t have social security numbers, that we aren’t in huge data bases with our right of privacy still intact. Yeh, right, some protection.

Now the last part of the conspiracy to remove all limits on federal power. A new revised order will be put forth, if not by Clinton, then by the next president (if that person is from the Democrat or Republican Party). There will be a lot of fancy wording, rather confusing to most who do not study the government enough understand how they do it. Congress will back it since they publicly helped draft the changes and politicians in Congress will act as if they really affected changes in Clinton’s original order (which the financially powerful no doubt worked on, too).

In reality, there will be no difference in effect. The powers of the federal government will increase to the degree that no sovereign State, let alone the people who are supposed to be constitutionally sovereign, will have any say-so whatsoever in laws passed by government agencies.

Of course, it is all unconstitutional but that seems to not be of importance to the people as they go about their everyday lives. Why is it unconstitutional? BECAUSE THE POWER OF THE GOVERNMENT MUST NEVER EXCEED THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE. If it does, we no longer live in a Republic and our Constitution, along with the Declaration of Independence, will be as worthless as the most corrupt of the corrupt politicians we now have in Congress. (Note: We were never a democracy even if that is what the majority thinks. We have always been a Republic with all states guaranteed a Republic form of government.)

So, why am I terrified? Because the federal government also controls the military and several other agencies full of pistol-packing, power-mad agents while our people have become complacent.

Thus, my stomach churns with the possibility we have, or will soon, become a mirror image of Nazi Germany (the government has all ready taken to attacking citizens of the United States of America on American soil). If the people don’t force limiting the federal government as the Constitution states immediately, complete oppression will be our reward.

Right now, We, the People, have a choice. Those who are destroying the Constitution MUST be replaced with people who have the heart to stand up to world finance and the corruption associated with it and work, instead, to preserve our liberties.

The solution is simple enough. If enough old-timers are removed in the next election, perhaps the others will get the message, back off, and not only mouth their oaths of office, but actually stand behind the oath, accept their responsibilities of protecting the Constitution and the general well-being; i.e., their responsibilities to the people and this union of states.

We can hope, or we can work hard at correcting the problems, since the removal of our rights seems to be progressing geometrically now.

Your choice, Folks. Make it the right one.
