Wouldn’t it be something ......

If the Republican Party was so obsessed with damaging or destroying President Clinton that the entire Clinton affair, from start to the inevitable finish, was a conspiracy?

All that would be needed are women with practiced skills at seduction of men and the willingness to place themselves in front of the American public while either lying about or telling of sexual activities.

And, then, of course, a woman who would not mind the American public knowing that she had the lack of character that would allow her to ‘secretly’ tape private telephone conversations of a friend.

Next, an investigator who had his own personal vendetta to pursue, a vendetta based on the fact that what appeared to be a sure thing for bringing him to national prominence in a positive fashion, ended up being a bomb. Instead of evidence he was certain of, he found only evidence to the contrary.

And, last, but certainly not least, a political party in control that will stop at nothing to keep their party in power.

Then, careful planning - how to destroy a man that was doing just as he said he would during his campaigns and inaugural speeches, a man who continually won in spite of the Republican Party’s efforts to stop him.

First goal. Find a woman to claim that the president had sexually harassed her. Enter Paula Jones, an ugly person inside. It wouldn’t matter whether or not the truth would ever be known by the public; as soon as the allegation was made, the damage was done. And, the foundation for the next step in the plan was established.

Second. Find another woman, young and sexually active with opportunity (presumably perceived so by the public) to seduce the president. Would this be a difficult task? Not if the right woman with the right character flaws could be located and not if the opportunity to do so with said woman was potentially possible. Enter Monica Lewinsky.

Men are weak when it comes to women presenting themselves for sexual activities. As a matter of fact, at least in all the normal guys I have known, seldom is a woman met in which a sexual consideration isn’t made, whether it be negative or positive.

It is the way we (men) are and it isn’t going to change regardless of any position achieved, including the presidency of the United States.

Ask Gingrich. Ask Burton. Ask the multitudes of other men, whether in power or not, that have allowed women they wouldn’t or couldn’t be seen with but did allow the women to give them sexual pleasuring.

Seduction of a man who has had or does have extra-marital affairs is a relatively simple matter. Generally, all that is required in the willingness by the woman and the opportunity to engage in illicit acts. It doesn’t matter if it be in the White House, any other government building, office, closet, or the sleaziest back alley.

In regards to Lewinsky, there has been a lot of misplaced sympathy for her. She may have been young but - ‘she’s just a child’ - Not hardly.

Inexperienced? How could one possibly think so when she offered and gave oral sex to the President of the United States? One would be apt to presume some talent while performing the act as one would think it would take a lot of confidence in one’s abilities.

Early in the investigation, informed sources reported that friends of Lewinsky’s from high school and college told of her willingness to do almost anything to be popular, including sex acts. They also stated she manufactured stories. Of course, we never heard much more than that as the media and Starr dropped them like hot potatoes.

What better way for the ultimate bimbo struggling for notoriety than to orally seduce the President of the United States? And if money could be made while doing so (and afterwards), would not the appeal have been adequate to engage her as a willing participant in a conspiracy?

This may sound far-fetched but in our history, there have been many women hired, or on their own, who have seduced men with the intent of gaining control over them in some form, whether it be in the work place or for other blackmail purposes. It is one of the oldest scams around.

Initially, both President Clinton and Lewinsky denied under oath any sex activities between the two of them. That should have been it. Case closed.

Enter Tripp. Suddenly, out of no-where a woman claiming to be a friend of Lewinsky has tapes of conversations between the two in which sex with the president was talked about. Damning evidence for sure if Lewinsky could be made to testify?

Could Tripp have been part of a conspiracy? Certainly. Look at the notoriety it would bring, not counting the initial pay-off to record conversations secretly with a ‘trusted’ friend. And, that fairly well sums up the character of Tripp. What a bitch!

But, did she betray a friend or arrange a business agreement?

Actually, since Lewinsky had successfully completed her mission of seducing the President (it began with her behaving much as a whore by wearing a quite revealing dress in order to catch the president’s eye), their conversations could have been arranged to reveal anything deemed necessary by the perpetrators of such a conspiracy.

With the intro of that Tripp woman, tapes filled the media along with the pull and tug of immunity for Lewinsky. And, eventually Starr succumbed and granted Lewinsky immunity to prosecution. Now I ask - Who didn’t know that would happen?

And, don’t forget the friends or family that suddenly told of the affair Monica had told them about. Willing, but innocent, pawns, I suspect, set up by Lewinsky herself. Being the airhead she is, though, it took the devious minds of Republican leaders and/or Starr to coach her on how to set it up properly.

Thus, President Clinton was forced into admitting Lewinsky gave him oral sex. This admission, of course, also showed that he lied under oath about an affair. Now, the Republican Party and Starr finally had something in favor of hanging President Clinton.

Could such a plan have been conceived and carried out? Should we put such a plan above those that have been determined to destroy President Clinton for over five years? Are our people in government that corrupt?

What do you think? Millions upon millions upon millions of dollars are at risk, let alone the power issue.

We know how devious our people in government can be as witnessed by Watergate and the Contra affair, including the applicable administrations' knowledge and acceptance of the behaviors leading to the scandals. Long-range planning of such activities is far more complex that setting up a man to take a fall based on his propensity for young women.

Sure, some won’t believe Lewinsky, Starr, powerful anti-Clintonites, Tripp, and Jones could have been part of a major conspiracy but look at what it took to convince the public that Reagan didn’t know what Ollie North was up to.

Compared to the Contra affair, this set-up, if it was indeed a set-up, was unbelievably simple to arrange and carry out.

Members of this Congress have made me feel shame because of the fashion in which they have presented us to the rest of the world.

I particularly feel shame because of the fact that the possibility of such a conspiracy even entered my mind. That is the depth of distrust I have for any who have indicated their corruptibility and lack of integrity when given the honored position of legislating our nation’s governing.

I firmly believe history will eventually reveal the current government as the most corrupt government this nation has had or will have. So, just maybe Republican actions through the entire sordid affair, from Whitewater to Lewinsky, should be completely and fully investigated. If innocent, they should welcome a complete investigation.

But, since an investigation isn't pending, maybe - just maybe - the scenario above isn’t as far-fetched as one might think.
