Two Questions

I have been asked a couple of questions that have given me pause to think. The first was whether or not I was afraid because of the comments I make when I write politicians.

The second was whether or not I thought writing my thoughts and getting them published would make a difference.

Both are rather hard questions to answer. As to the first, I have been afraid since the first letter I sent leading members of Congress. I do not put anything above our government, including harming anyone who attempts to influence people to fight against the system that lines our Washington politicians’ pockets.

But, I am more afraid not to. This country’s people are the people I missed dearly when stationed overseas. They are the people I have the utmost faith in. They are the people who must have their God-given rights protected from those who would steal them away under the guise of 'good government'.

Additionally, while overseas, I missed the freedom of choice I have in this country, sometimes in regards to little things, such as being able to drive over 25 mph, a real hamburger (not Mickey D’s, of course), fresh milk (at least not powdered), being able to speak freely (even though I didn’t then), drive-in theaters, newly started taco stands, and hundreds of others.

This nation as designed must be preserved. Because of this an my faith in the people, I firmly believe when it comes to push-and-shove, the people in this nation are going to take their governing back, that they are going to insist our rights as stated in the Constitution be reinstated and preserved thereafter without any distortion by Congress.

I am certain the people will eventually stop all the games that are played by politicians. In accomplishing this, politicians who do not legislate for the majority of the people will be removed from office. Furthermore, any corrupt individuals will be appropriately punished in the courts as civil, moral, and/or ethical offenders following their removal from Congress, if applicable.

What I absolutely don't fear is disagreement with my opinions, at least not if the disagreement is based on fact rather than emotional reactions. Disagreement based on emotion is usually founded on the lack of, or inaccurate knowledge, rather than facts.

My fear of disagreement based on other than facts is people could be misled by uninformed persons, whether they be professional writers or just everyday people such as myself. Or, most commonly, unethical members of Congress (or their spokespeople) and the media who supports them or goes along just for the story, not the facts.

Whether or not I think it will do any good...? Well, I don’t think it will do any good by the start of the Millennium. I think it is going to take millions of us to force our governing to be as it was designed by our forefathers.

These men feared a strong, centralized government and knew it would result in the type of corruption we now have. They were men of great foresight, foresight NOT used to take advantage of their positions as is so common a trait of our current, long-term politicians.

They knew the people must be vigilant and must remain unified against a central government long in power and potentially short in morality and integrity.

Unification of the magnitude now necessary to cleanse our government will not happen overnight. Decades of Washington politicians doing as they have been, which has been to centralize the federal government to the extent that constitutionality of legislation has been virtually forgotten or ignored, will have to be undone.

Will it happen? Will the people take over control of this country by placing in office only those with integrity, only those who have the strength to repell special interest groups, to do what is right rather than what is best for them?

Time will tell. Just as the X-Files states, The Truth is Out There. I believe the people will eventually demand the truth, and only the truth, from our governing personnel.

So, will what I have written, or write in the future, help? Whether it does or does not is not my concern at the moment as I know my time and effort are not wasted.

You see, Ladies and Gentlemen, one more of us has woke up and is ready to deal with quite possibly the most devious governing body this Earth has ever witnessed.
