Is this uncommon? How about other levels of our society? I have discussed the topics throughout my life with Americans from every walk of life, even political wannabes (always campaigning).
It seems the same behaviors that occurred with President Clinton and Lewinsky also occur throughout corporate and small business America if the stories I heard are credible.
Of course, there are those sexual liasons in which I was an willing, active participant along with the many I witnessed first hand. So, I haven't any reason to doubt any of the stories I've heard.
It would be very difficult for anyone to deny power and money have a very real sexual appeal for certain types of people and usually results in lying. It is easily seen between the sexes in every community I have been in and is not likely to lessen regardless of any future actions against Mr. Clinton.
Hopefully, there will be none. This is not to say that I support President Clinton. This has nothing to do with the political parties per se but, instead, is concerned with Washington politicians as a whole.
Will continued discussion, let alone ousting of Mr. Clinton, change any perceptions the youth of this nation have of politicians and the sex that power brings? I grew up learning to believe a precept - that politicians lie. I wasn't very old when I learned that the more money and power one has, the easier sex is to attain.
My observations of the political system since my adulthood have proved this as fact. And, my experiences in the realm of sexual America also proved the above premise.
In regards to Washington politicians lying, we have heard politicians state one thing during
campaigns and, after essentially buying their office (yes, the person who spends the most,
usually in the millions during campaigning normally wins the election), does exactly the
opposite (Bush’s famous “No more taxes”).
We have heard politicians berate another politician/s during campaigns and, later, find out
they have done exactly the same things they berated opponents for. This is the same in
regards to their sexual pursuits.
We all have read or heard about campaign funding reform being a necessity because of the
Democratic party receiving foreign contributions. But, do any of you seriously believe the
Republican Party doesn’t receive foreign contributions, that the party doesn't use
campaigns illegally? If you do, it is likely you have your head the same place they have
theirs, where the sun don't sun.
Why did the Republican Party kill any reform actions during the remainder of this year? Is
it possible the millions pouring into their coffers might have something to do with it? Only
a fool and/or an idiot would believe otherwise.
During primaries we heard politicians from both major parties denouncing their
competition within their own parties and essentially proving the members of their own
party were not suitable persons for nomination. Then, they turn around and support
whichever member does receive the nomination. My, my, what hypocrisy.
We hear them talk about morality and family values while having their hands on a member
of the opposite (or, in some cases, the same) sex's body. How many stories could the
offices, closets, storage rooms, hidden alcoves, desks, sofas, and so on tell about the
people who are in office?
We hear lie after lie after lie. Then, they speak of integrity. This is, of course, while their
bank accounts swell with funds born of their corruptive marriages with big business.
What we have in Washington are power, money, and sex hungry mongers who use their
positions and offices for favoritism, illicit sex attainment, and deal making. They believe
themselves to be above the law and act accordingly. They know when it gets down to the
nitty gritty, they will help each other and/or do whatever is necessary to protect the system
making them wealthy.
Then, we have those who use their sexual attraction to get ahead (no pun intended) by
giving or receiving sexual favors. Do any not participate in the sexual merry-go-round we
call the "HILL"?
I doubt it but are their sexual behaviors any different from what goes on every place else?
Probably not.
Yes, Mr. Clinton lied about getting head from Lewinsky. But, didn’t we all believe he
was, anyway. And, is it not true we would believe it of any other politician if their
paramours (real or fabricated by a political enemy) stepped forward and told their stories-
and be right?
Therefore, to anti-Clintonites, all I can say is - if you are going to stick to the premise Mr.
Clinton must be ousted because of lying, then the premise of equality demands you also
oust any member of Congress who has ever lied about sex or any other matter to their
constituencies, to Congress, and to the people of this nation.
They violated the trust of the people and lied while under oath and certainly aren't of high
moral fiber.
Why, Ladies and Gentlemen, do we allow it to continue and why do so many of us ignore it
in the party we support? Why do we not end it once and for all. Remember, elected or not,
Republican or Democrat, they are no more than paid employees, servants if you will, of the
people.
Then, and only then, will we be on the road to reinstating Washington as a proper role
model for the youth of this nation.
