| In one corner of the dealer's room was Vincent's Chamber tableau. The Vincent costume on the mannequin was purchased many years ago by a group of fans who gave it to Ron Perlman who subsequently loaned it back to fandom. The rest of the chamber was put together by Liz & Sally Perkins from the North Jersey Tunnel Community. I was initially confused because I had seen pictures of similar displays from many different cons, but Liz assures me that because of the size and weight they've only been able to bring this one to cons that they can drive to, which besides the NYC con have been the two held in Virginia. Let's hope for a rash of NorthEastern cons. In the background there was a tape playing the sound of messages being tapped on the pipes which was really quite soothing. |
