HAVYAKA in Cyberworld
Websites and E-Groups

Though we are not a community with a huge population, we are quite active in internet! Just search for havyak/havyaka in Google (note that both these keywords give different search results!) and you will be surprised to see the results. Our community has many e-groups, websites to our credit.

Naturally the question follows - why do we need so many websites/e-groups for such a small community? Over the time, many people have tried to resolve this, but the fact remains - we are not "united" in Cyberworld. Till May 2005 even the pointers were scattered around and couldn't be found in a single place.

This is just an attempt to collect and maintain all such pointers to havyaka related websites and e-groups with some analysis. Hope this pseudo-unity helps!

Ramachandrapura Math	Official website of Ramachandrapura Math, a very detailed website. Looks like this is being maintained regularly.
Havyaka Maha Sabha	Official website of Havyaka Maha Sabha, doesn't contain too many details. But "Mangalya" section might be useful having many profiles. Not sure how actively this is being developed/maintained.
Havyaka Association of Americas	Official website of Havyaka Association of Americas. A cool website with some nice links. See it yourself! Related E-Group: havyaka
Havyaka Bangalore	Official website of Havyaka Bangalore. Has some unique and cool contents. See it yourself! Didn't develop much after the first release due to lack of participation. But a very good start for enthusiasts to take forward. Related E-Group: havyaka_bangalore
Havyaka Sagara	Official website of "Havyaka Sagara". Contains some useful information like Havyaka Links, Career Tips, Accommodation details, Events etc. Contains some cool pages like Kannada Puta, few poems by members, Yakshagana etc. Related E-Group: havyakasagara
Havyaka Recipies	Looks like this is part of HAA website. A very nice one with 3 main sections: Traditional Recipes Contemporary Recipes Innovative Recipes
About Havyakas - in Kamat's Potpourri	A brief writeup about havyakas by Jyotsna Kamat.
Purnachandra Yakshakala Prathisthana	Purnachandra Yakshakala Prathisthana Kondadakuli (R) Kumbhashi, an institution for performing 'Yakshagana' based on the Hindu mythology. This was inagurated and blessed by His Holiness Sri Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji, Sri Ramachandrapura Mata.
Shri Kamadhenu Gosamrakshana Kendra	This is not exactly "havyaka exclusive" stuff. This is different from "Kamadugha" program by Havyaka Mata. But the one who maintains these webpages, Gopalakrishna Varna is a havyaka and is one of the active participants in this program. And of course, the topic is of our interest too, right? :-)

IAD - Institute of Applied Dermatology	This is a non profit organization involved in lot of research activities in medical field, mainly in Dermatology. One of the key members and current Director & Chairman of this is Dr.S.R. Narahari, MD,DVD There are few more havyakas who actively participate for this noble cause and making us proud. Eco Vision	This is an Indian company manufacturing Eco-Friendly i.e. biodegradable, disposable food serving plates and exporting to some of the European countries too. This is headed by Mr. Rajaram C.G., B.E. (Mechanical) D.Pack. He is a havyaka from Dakshina Kannada

Havyaka Network Forum	This is not a e-group, but something similar to that. No much information regarding this at this point of time.

Statistical comparisons between E-GROUPS

The idea behind this comparison is not to show one group superior to another. Rather we just want to give additional information to havyakas before joining these groups.
By seeing these statistics, a havyaka will get a high level information regarding how active the group is, whether it is a moderated group or not, how big it is etc.
All this information is also available in respective group websites, but we thought collecting them in a single place will help havyakas better.
