The beach is great for
swimming, surfing, boarding and sunning. The angle of the reef naturally divides the area
into two distinct parts--one great for surfing and boogie boarding and one calm enough for
gentle snorkeling. The beach never gets too busy even on weekends when the Honolulu crowd
looks for quieter beaches.
Two championship golf courses are only a mile away, and public tennis courts are nearby.
There are ancient heiau (Hawaiian temples) to explore and stars to gaze at night. This is
a decidedly "untouristy" area, but there's still plenty to see and do and enjoy
while vacationing at relaxing Makaha Valley Towers. |
