72-Hour Limited Warranty
|
A.
Prior to
delivery the Breeder has given the cat/kitten vaccinations against against
Panleukopenia, Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Pneumonitis
(Chlamydia). The Breeder guarantees
this cat/kitten to be free from Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline
Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and provides a 72-Hour Limited Warranty against
the cat/kitten having an upper respiratory, fungal, viral or bacterial
infections, and internal or external parasites. Please refer to the heath guidelines supplied at the time of
purchase for information on minor illnesses your kitten may suffer while
adjusting to your home.
B.
Breeder
requests that you have your cat or kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian
within 72 hours after you have received or picked up your cat/kitten. The
Breeder is not responsible for the cost of this exam. If a cat or kitten is
determined to have the illnesses defined in Section 3A during the first 72
hours we will take care of all reasonable and customary vet expenses up to
the purchase price of the kitten. This insures that your kitten is
returned to proper health. If you do not take your cat or kitten to the vet
during the first 72 hours we will not be responsible for any vet expenses and
the 72-Hour Limited Warranty is voided.
All veterinarian treatment must be pre-authorized by us before we will
pay your vet directly.
C.
We are
responsible for illness not injury to your pet during the first 72 hours. The
Breeder has the right to request a second opinion from a Veterinarian of the
Breeders choice and at the Breeders expense.
D.
Both
Breeder and Buyer have the option within five days of the veterinary
diagnosis to either a) cancel this contract and refund the purchase price, or
b) accept a replacement animal pursuant to the provisions in Section 8, if
and when available.

4.
|
Cat/Kitten Care
|
A.
The Buyer
agrees that the Kitten/cat(s) are never to be "declawed" or
"tattooed".
B.
The
Buyers will educate themselves in the characteristics of the breed in order
to fully understand the habits and care of the Ragdoll breed. Buyer is encouraged to call the Breeder
whenever there is a question or concern about their new Ragdoll kitten. The Buyer agrees to adhere to the heath
guidelines supplied at the time of purchase for a period of 10 days or as
recommended by the Buyer’s veterinarian.
C.
Buyer
agrees to keep the cat/kitten clean, healthy, and free of internal and
external parasites, free of stress and harassment and well nourished. Buyer
will provide a safe, sanitary, indoor environment of sufficient room and
space. The Buyer will keep the
cat/kitten in a homelike, loving atmosphere, not subject to unnecessary
confinement, and cared for in the best manner possible at all times.
D.
Buyer
agrees to vaccinate this cat/kitten annually as appropriate. The cat/kitten
will not be denied needed veterinary attention. If the Buyer is unsure
whether or not the animal is in need of medical services, a vet will be
contacted, the situation will be explained, and the vet's advice will be
acted upon.
E.
Buyer is
contracted to provide a lifetime home for this cat/kitten. Buyer will contact the Breeder if the
Buyer is unable or unwilling to keep this cat/kitten and will return the
cat/kitten to the breeder at the earliest opportunity without compensation or
refund. The Breeder may also offer to
assist the Buyer in finding another suitable home for the cat/kitten. Under no circumstances shall the
cat/kitten be abandoned, sold, leased, or given to any Pet Store, Laboratory,
Research Facility, Kitten Mill or Animal Shelter, humane society or organization,
or any agents or representatives thereof.
Abuse, neglect or lack of adequate care as determined by appropriate
state and regulatory officials will result in Buyer relinquishing this animal
to Breeder unconditionally.
F.
No kitten
or cat is to be euthanized without the prior knowledge of the breeder, except
in the case where a veterinarian considers it the only humane alternative. If
breeder is not notified prior to the event, this guarantee is void and no
replacements or compensation will be given.

5.
|
One-Year Health Guarantee
|
A.
Breeder
guarantees the cat/kitten to be in excellent health at the time of purchase
and to be free of parasites, fungus infection, viral and bacterial disease
and congenital birth defects.
B.
The Breeder provides a one-year health guarantee from
date of birth of the kitten, for any congenital health defect that causes the
death of the cat/kitten (as documented in writing from a qualified,
veterinarian licensed to practice by the appropriate state authorities.) We will replace the kitten in accordance
with the provisions outlined in Section 8.
Breeder’s liability to the Buyer
shall not exceed the purchase price of this cat/kitten.
C.
If this
animal is diagnosed with a minor imperfection (not known at time of sale)
that requires no treatment and does not interfere with the normal function
and purpose of the cat/kitten, then no replacement will be given.

6.
|
Payment
|

B.
Buyer
will pay the breeder a deposit of half of the Purchase price at the time of
selecting a kitten. The balance of the Purchase price is to be paid at least
one week in advance of shipping or delivery of this cat/kitten.
C.
Payment
must be made in $USD funds by check, cash or money order.
D.
Buyer
understands that the Purchase price does not include the costs of shipping
the cat/kitten to the Buyer (carrier, shipping fee, rabies vaccination, blood
work, and health certificate) or for individual registration.

7.
|
Pedigree and CFA Registration
|
A.
Buyer
agrees to have the cat/kitten surgically altered by a licensed veterinarian
before the age of seven (7) months.
The Buyer will present the Breeder with original documentation from
the veterinarian that the cat/kitten has been altered.
B.
Upon
receipt of proof of alteration, the Breeder agrees to provide to the Buyer
the following documents via personal delivery or First Class Mail: (1) Pedigree
of kitten, (2) Proof of CFA Litter Registration, (3) Application for
Individual CFA Registration.

8.
|
Refunds & Replacements
|
A.
If the
Buyer finds it necessary to return the cat/kitten to the Breeder, refunds
shall be made as follows: 100% of the purchase price within the first week of
delivery, 50% within the first 30 days of delivery.
B.
If the Buyer requests a
replacement cat/kitten (pursuant to sections 3 or 4 above) the Breeder will
provide the Buyer with a cat/kitten of equal or lesser value, at the Breeder’s
discretion, within 1 year of the Buyer’s request for replacement or within
the Breeder’s next 2 litters.
C.
The Buyer is expressly
prohibited from using this cat/kitten for stud or breeding purposes. No refund or replacement will be given for
any cat/kitten that has been bred or produced a litter, purebred or
otherwise.
D.
All cat/kitten returns are
subject to the provisions in Section 10.

9.
|
Returns
|
A.
Breeder
retains a Security Interest in the cat/kitten for the sole purpose of
enforcing all terms and conditions of this contract. In the event the cat/kitten must be
returned to Breeder as a result of a breech of this contract the Buyer shall
be responsible for all veterinary and health care costs necessary to return
the cat/kitten to proper health. Breeder
retains the right to refuse the return of a sick or infectious cat/kitten
until the cat/kitten is well. Breeder
shall not be held liable for any veterinary or health care costs, except as
provided for by the above Limited Warranty, occurring while the Cat/kitten is
in the possession of the Buyer.
B.
Breeder
will not pay for transportation or paperwork costs incurred by the Buyer for
this cat/kitten or for a replacement cat/kitten. Buyer will provide at their
expense any necessary health certificate and a new FeLV test, dated within
three days before returning the cat/kitten.
In all instances, Breeder’s liability to the Buyer shall not exceed
the purchase price of this cat/kitten.
C.
We wish
you to notify us in the event that the cat/kitten becomes lost, seriously
ill, injured, or deceased. Because this cat/kitten's relatives have been used
in a breeding program, please notify us immediately of any health problems
discovered in said cat/kitten which may have impact on related cat/kittens.

10.
|
Contract Validity & Signatures
|
If any of the above conditions are not
complied with, all health guarantees are null and void. This agreement is made and signed by both
parties to assure the well-being and protection of this animal and to help assure
the continued soundness and quality of the Ragdoll breed. No part of this
contract is transferable, any and all litigation that may take place will
occur within the state of Hawaii and subject to the laws thereof. I AM IN FULL AGREEMENT AND AGREE TO
ABIDE BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS SALES CONTRACT.
