A Generation That Shook The Mountains Betrayed But Rising
Being in the International Relations field has been one of the hardest in the last five months or so. The new US presidency of George Bush and its foreign and security policies became so blatant and unilaterally arrogant that the average specialist and even ordinary people got confused and terrified of its patterns. As if this was not enough Ethiopian politics degenerated from bad to worse due to the illegal coup d'etat carried out by the Meles-Sibhat clique. As a person who prides over shaking the mountains during Mengistu's reign of terror, the combined effects of these episodes have become very devastating. However, now that Meles's paranoid and venomous fury seems to have reached its ebb and subsiding even further, let me reflect on some points of interest to many of us.

The TPLF we love and care for has been under a relentless assault by the Meles-Sibhat clique in order to prolong their stay in power and plunder Ethiopian resources. These counter-revolutionary activities serve the interests of this clique as well as its foreign handlers. The foreign handlers referred to here were the ones that opposed our right to defend ourselves from shabia aggression. We are suffering the combined vindictiveness of these forces acting in unison. But we should be glad they are running out of steam. They are running out of the physical and spiritual energies they need in order to sustain their assault on the TPLF and the people of Ethiopia. We must now take advantage, reorganize and be ready for a major counter-offensive in order to bring the Meles-Sibhat hijack to its knees and to justice.

When the Derg hijacked the Ethiopian Revolution on September, 1974, we rejected the move as illegal and counter revolutionary. We raised our heads and stood firm in unison. We pledged to ourselves and the Ethiopian people that we will fight Mengistu's tyranny by any means at our disposal. And fight, we did. As a result our enemies, domestic and foreign, trembled. The sons and daughters of Alula Aba Nega did not and will not bow down in the face of tyrannical rulers like Haile selassie, Col.Mengistu or Meles-Sibhat. The guts and glory of a generation that shook the mountains remains within us to this day.

I would like to take this opportunity to commend Tigray Net, Ethiopian Commentator, Haweltina, Ras Alula Net, Deki-Alula and others for the principled position they have taken and praise them for exposing the Meles-Sibhat clique for what it is.No amount of disinformation and misinformation campaign directed by this clique against our guardians will not stand. Permit me also to remind those few opportunists, and confused lot amidst us to change their ways since the Meles-Sibhat regime is over.If you do not then you shall be swept aside and trashed like them."Be part of the solution and not the problem".

Betrayed and bitter but willing to put up a resolute struggle to bring glory to our martyrs by building a democratic order in Ethiopia for which so much was sacrificed.Feel pity no more. Rise! Rise! Let us shake the hills together one more time. The anti people, anti Ethiopia clique of Meles-Sibhat must go. And rest assured that it is on its last leg. Give it a slight push and it is gone. Our struggle is just and we shall be victorious.
