Blackhawks Coaches



Hal Nunn
Head Coach

Hal Nunn is in his tenth season as a Head Coach with the SCVHA.  Last season he guided the Midget (17-U) A team to both the NorCal and CAHA titles to add to his trophy case.  In previous years he has coached his teams to four NorCal Championships and a PeeWee A State Championship in 2001.

His playing career included tending goal at Ridley College prep school in St. Catherine's, Ontario, as well as for the Big Red of Cornell University and a semi-pro team based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.


 



Bill Fruen
Assistant Coach

Bill Freun started Coaching in Norcal in 1996.  He coached two seasons at West Bay and one season with Cupertino.  This will be Bill's second season assisting Hal with the Midget-A squad.  In the 8 years he has been involved with Norcal, Bill has supported the league in a variety of ways, including Team Manager, League Statistician, Referee and Assistant Coach.

"I totally enjoy assisting the players meet their goals and I love this sport.  Teamwork is the underlying theme in everything that we will strive to accomplish this year."
