IN AIR

She sat in her place
and
in her place she sat

Wings folded neatly by her side

On a spring day
and many others
an echo would pass
She would hear
but
then again
she didn't

As she sat in her place
and
in her place she sat

They were echos of free souls that soared the heavens
Wings lifted toward heavenly songs
But
then again
she sat in her place
and
in her place she sat

In her dreams were spread those folded wings
a breath was taken
deep

As the wind lifted her in flight
the warm light of the sun on unfurled wings
brought the ecstasy of motion within sight
And
with that dream
she sat no more
and
no more in the place she sat
with
Valiant
Wing
She
Soared
