What is your pen name?
Okay, my pen name is Eternal Angel, but when I first started writing, it was actually Usako... but then again, there were probably only one Usagi during that time.
When did you start writing?
I became a sailor moon writer when i was in 7th grade. I'm in 11th grade right now... (attempts to do the math) I've been writing sailor moon for the past... four years? soon to be five... god i'm old.
When is your birthday?
My birthday is every day of the year so you can send all your gifts to this add- okay, okay, just playing. My birthday is on February 24th.
How old are you?
I am currently 16.
I have to say that I'm curious about one particular thing; people describe your writing style as unique writers... how would you describe your style?
I really don't know. My friend calls my style of writing called EAFF (eternal angel fan fiction, she's creative isn't she?) no no, well, she has a definition made up for it and everything, and it seems to describe my writing to do the dot!
[at this point of the interview, cerise-chan went to look for a definition so I would understand the term ^_^ she is so nice, isn't she? ]
EAFF: As defined by Bejiin, proud worshiper of the cult . . .
EAFF AKA Eternal Angel Fan Fiction
EAFF is unlike WAFF and TAFF in that the emotions are the key here.
EAFF is to fanfiction what impressionism is to art. The plot is not the essential thing here. It's really the feelings and the emotions evoked in a reader that makes
EAFF such a powerful tool. (EA: *crosses eyes*)
Bejiin is a very sweet person and she writes very well! (smiles)
Something that many surely have asked you before me, who is your favorite writer and story?
I can't really say what's my favorite fanfiction or author, because in all truth I have come to love so many fics and worship so many authors in the past years. There are many stories that touch me in a different way, and to be forced just to pick one, two, or even three would be hard for. Thus I have to yell out abstain for this question.
Now that we talked about your favorite writer & story, what is your favorite work? ^_~
ACK! You ask the hardest questions. but anyways, i do believe the work that has inspired me the most and that I adore the most is Wishing You Were Here. Granted I could never get the title straight, but still, the story had been my obsession for that summer that I wrote it, and then again just recently when I revised it. It has always been able to touch a deep aching within me that is fulfilled by the end.
How did you choose your pen name?
(giggles) I picked Eternal Angel because originally I had the name "Usako". But after getting mixed up with usako3000, i decided to change my name into something more original. And after much brainstorming, I decided on either Eternal Angel, or Moon Angel... so i closed my eyes, pointed, and aha! my finger landed on the r part of eternal angel.
Did a particular writer inspired you to write stories? If not, what did?
The first fanfiction I ever read must have been Sailor Moon Zodiac. I can't remember the author, I can barely remember the plot, but I do indeed remember the title. Prior to this experience of reading her fanfiction, I didn't know that you COULD write fanfictions. I thought the little ponderings of my head were just stupid ideas that wouldn't and couldn't be read or published. But after reading Sailor Moon Zodiac and finding the link the Luna and Artemis's Command Central, my eyes widen at the possibilities of what this whole new world could mean.
And to go in your little secrets *grin*, do you have a special way to find plot ideas?
Plot ideas? well, one is to read many books or fanfictions and then have them mix so scarily in your head until all of a sudden they fused into an idea so grander than can be imagined. Not only that, but i would take a simple idea from everyday life - something i saw, something i ponder, something i just find anywhere, and i break it down into something grander - a story with all the possibilities. legends, objects, a quote, an idea - they're all possibilities for a fanfiction, it's just that you have to sit down and work it out.
Who is your favorite character and why?
(laughs) Well, my favorite sailor moon character must be Kunzite. I just love him so! (huggles her Kunzite tightly). He's just so very sexy and looks good with... ME!
A few more questions.... any favorite episode?
No, I despise the anime very much, but i adore the manga. My favorite manga must be the first season ones, because it's so cute! I love how they portray mamoru in them.(smiles)
Not only are you known as a fan fiction writer but also as a webmistress. Again, your skills are excellent....another curious question =O)...where did you learn them?
I cheat, I use a thing called FrontPage to help me with my website. Although i must admit that I do do my own graphics (and they're very sexy aren't they?). Anyways, usually when I have an urge to make websites, I go onto one of those DHTML sites and I camp outu until I find the write little javascript little flashy thing to make my website all nice and cool.
Anything else you want to add?
Well, I need to shamelessly plug something - (although I usually don't do this much). If anyone is intreasted in joining an anime mailing list, why not join mine? It's called Dying Scarlet - it's http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dyingscarlet to join, and http://steelpenguin.com/~fromangeltofoes/dyingscarlet/ for the information website. Arigatou.
And I must add that cerise-chan's sites are a Must Visit! =O)
