Interview # 1: Karisma

I have been pleasantly surprise to meet Karisma online and she has agreed to be my first interviewing experience. In simple words, I have interviewed her and am glad to present you the result of our conversation.
We have first chatted on the meaning of her screen name and then jumped into the interview. I usually judge the writer by their author’s notes, but for Karisma, my judgment has proved to be wrong. She was even nicer than I would have ever imagined!
And now some background information and the answers to questions…

Name: Karisma SM writer since: August 2000 Birthday: August 14 Age: 16 How did you become a fan fiction writer? Well, I loved reading for quite some time; and writing has always been a part of me, I can't remember a time where I haven't written to express myself. I wanted feedback and I loved SM. So I finally screwed up the courage to paste AOYU (As of Yet Untitled) to an email and send it. Then people seemed to really like my stuff. I cried when I got my first positive feedback. :-) Which one of your works is your favorite? Well, the one I am currently working on Desert Rose. I am worried about the public's response, since it isn't a straight out romance. But I hope they will like it because I am totally enamored with working on it! It's a new genre for me, and I hope I do it justice. Who is your favorite writer? You know, it was Suoh and Ashley and then I realized they plagiarized. So I would have to say the true queen of fan fiction: Crystal Heart. She is a total role model for me; I loved her work since the beginning. Talking about favorites, do you have a favorite story? It would be Masquerade by Crystal Heart. How did you choose your pen name? It is actually my name. It is Hindi for miracle and I am Indian. Where do you find the inspiration for stories? I do chores. In all honesty, I do them and my mind wanders and the wheels start turning....BOOM. I have an idea; then I refine the points and start typing. You are currently working on many stories at the same time, how do you manage them all? Well, I take turns writing on them. I have each of their plots laid out so I just turn to my notes and type when I have the time. And usually I make time. (even if it means leaving my neglected schoolwork) :-( Who is your favorite character (SM) and why? I suppose the cliché would be for me to say Darien, since he is the epitome of fineness and the foundation of what my future husband should look like(j/k). But I would honestly have to go with Serena. She has so much more than blonde hair and big eyes. She may seem like bimbo NO.1, but when the going gets tough.... Anything else you want to add?
