Earth Groove was a benefit put on by the Western Canada Wilderness Committee to raise funds and awareness for the preservation of British Columbia's ancient rainforests.  For those of you who don't know, almost all of BC's rainforest has been decimated by clearcut, and the few tracks of virgin rainforest left remaining are constantly threatened. Check out their website for more of what they do.

The event began with a multi-media slide; images of ancient forest, clearsut overlayed with machines of destruction, colours melting and sliding together. This was followed by Chameleon, the musical entertainment. We performed with a full cast during the band's intermission, nine of us embodying the natural spirits of earth, air, water, and, or course, fire. Our toys included fire fingers, flags, natural dance, staff, double staff, single chain, double chains, fire whips.
