Quite simply, Fernwood is the neighbourhood in Victoria where all the cool people live. There's an amazing sense of community involvement and activism, so naturally it's home to two of Hayo Bola's members, and is where we practise. In the last civic election, Fernwood was the only district in Victoria to vote exclusively Green. Huzzah! In keeping with its spirit, Fernwood holds community celebrations for major holiday events. This Hallowe'en, a parade of costumed revelers (including Molly stiltwalking with fire-fingers) traversed the streets of the neighbourhood, gathering ghouls and goblins in its wake. The end of the parade happened when it walzed into the local park at be greeted by a huge roaring bonfire replete with drummer and fire dancers. Needless to say, a fun time was had by all.
