Layout Help.

For some newer members, the idea of layouts can be daunting. HTML looks confusing... how do I get them onto my message? So I have decided to create this page in order to answer many of your questions.

How do I get my layout onto my message?
This is done simply by clicking either on girlpics > post a layout on the silver bar/basic menu or by clicking the little image which looks like a person on the gold bar, then "layouts made easy".

You now have to decide if you want this to be your default layout or (if you are a supporter) one of your other layouts which you can choose from each time you post. If you want it to be your default layout, click the radio button next to "Standard layout" then click "choose". If you want it to be another layout, then type a name into the box before clicking "choose".

You then will be faced with a box, in which you have to put your layout into. If you want a layout from our site, you copy the box from the box under the layout and paste it into this box. You then click "send layout" and your layout will work each time you send a message (:

FAQ section

Q) What are multiple layouts?
A) Multiple layouts is a scheme set up by Lola that only supporters have the privalege to use. It means you can store lots of layouts on the site, and choose which one you would like to use each time you post a message.

Q) How can I change the colours of my layout?
A) On layouts, colours are done with something called "hex-codes" they conisit of 6 letters or digits, each for a unique colour. To change the colour of your layout, you need to find the appropriate part you wish to change, then replace the code (e.g. #999999) to the colour you wish to choose.

Q) What is the large amount of coding at the start of a layout?
A) This is called CSS coding, and tells the browser what colour to do all the fonts when the layout is used on that page. It looks much more complicated than it really is, so don't let it phase you.

Q) How can I get rid of the scroll bars in a box where I have added a picture?
In the coding for the box you have put the picture into, after the <*td> tag and before your PIC code, you will see a section saying "overflow=auto". Simply change the word "auto" to "hidden" and scrollbars will not show in that box.
