Now, we are entering the Den.  Watch out!  You are going to
walk under some mistletoe. I found the pattern and directions in a "Cross Stitch and Country Crafts Magazine" sometime in the   '80's.  The center heart has a boy and girl kissing on one side and on the other it says "Christmas weaves loving art And leaves it's magic in the heart". This is all done in cross stitch.


The tree is done mostly with
Santa's.  There are also ornaments
from the Christmas's when the kids were small.   The tree skirt is cross
stitched with Santa's and I place antique toys
on it.

Would you like to have a seat on the sofa?  I have  placed some cross stitch
pillows on it and on the back, I have place a quilted piece--it is composed of
24 cross stitch quilt squares.


The fireplace mantel is decorated with pine garland.  The crochet pillow case
edging was done by my grandmother as a Christmas gift.  She passed away
just before Christmas that year,  There are two cross stitch stockings and a
needlepoint stocking.

This cross stitch is on a fire
screen under the mantle.
