| Lakeview is located deep in the high desert of eastern Oregon known as the Oregon Outback. Settled in the late 19th century by Irish sheepherders, Lakeview is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the communities of western Oregon. Most people don't realize that two-thirds of Oregon and Washington are aird. The volcanic peaks of the Cascade Mountain Range creates a barrier to the rain for which the Pacific Northwest is so famous. |
