| HBCC UFO Recently Reported Sightings
Release Date: August 30, 2005 Between Boston Bar and Yale, B.C. Luminous Translucent Oval Light Date: October 1968 Time: 3:00 a.m. The first sighting took place in the Fraser Canyon between Boston Bar and Yale in an area where the Canyon is quite deep. A friend and co-worker Les B. and I had gone on a Moose hunting trip to the Big Timothy Mountain area east of Lac la Hache BC over the thanksgiving long weekend in 1968. We saw no game during the hunt so we were determined to pack up our remote wilderness camp in the early afternoon of the last day and begin what would have been about a 9 hour drive back to Vancouver. It was a beautiful autumn day and we procrastinated going back, taking down our camp and heading out of the bush. Much to our dismay we heard the crack of a rifle shot as one of our hunting companions bagged his Moose in the late afternoon, several hours after we should have left for home. That meant we had several more hours of back breaking work dressing out, cutting up this huge Bull Moose and packing it back to our camp and the vehicles. We had to find our way out of the bush in the dark and our delayed trip home put us in the Fraser Canyon location where we saw the UFO at about 3:00 AM (we both had to book off work that day as we were totally exhausted when we finally got home). There was no other traffic on the road at the time and as we were driving along my friend Les said "what is that strange light in the canyon below". I pulled over and we both got out and looked down into the canyon. What we saw was very strange as there seemed to be a fog or mist in the canyon and inside the fog we could make out a luminous, sort of translucent oval light source that was probably several hundred feet long and hovering above the Fraser River. The light was slowly pulsating in intensity getting brighter, then dimmer etc. My friend and I knew that there were train tracks on either side of the canyon, the CNR on one side and the CPR on the other. We thought at first the light was the light of a train but soon realized that a train would not make a stationary pulsating light in the middle of the canyon above the river or be totally silent in the process. My friend and I also had a sense of fear as we both felt the hair on the back of our necks stand on end at the time. Les said "lets get the hell out of here" so we jumped back in the car and drove off. We never mentioned it to any of our co-workers since at the time anyone who mentioned a UFO was instantly labeled as a crackpot but we did talk about it between ourselves after the fact. Thank you to the witness for the report. -------------- Topley Landing, British Columbia A Bright Luminous Sphere Date: Early Spring of 1972 Time: Evening (dusk) The second sighting I was alone. I am a heavy duty mechanic and was working for the Houston, B.C. branch of Finning Tractor at the time on a temporary transfer. During one of my field outings in early spring (not sure of the date) I had just completed repairs on a piece of logging machinery on a landing of a logging operation near Topley Landing on Babine Lake. Dusk was setting in as I travelled the logging road back to the highway and the trip back to Houston. As I began across another landing on the logging road I was startled to see what appeared to be a bright luminous sphere across the landing to my left. Venturing a guess I would say that the sphere may have been between 10 and 20 feet in diameter. The sphere rose upward off the landing and almost immediately began to accelerate upward at an incredible rate until it was out of sight. The time from first sighting on the ground until it was out of sight could not have been more than 5 seconds. Events like this make one entertain the thought that perhaps I was hallucinating as this does not fit in with my normal worldview. I hope you find this interesting and that it could tie in with similar sightings in the same time frame and locations. Thank you to the witness for the report. --------------------- Paipoonge Township, Outside Of Thunder Bay Ontario Lights Chasing One Another Date: Approx: Mid 1970s Time: Evening Message: In my younger years (approx. mid 1970's), our family home was approximately 20 miles outside of Thunder Bay, ON, Canada on Concession 6 in Paipoonge Township. Myself and 5 other people (adults and young teens - both Canadian and Americans) witnessed two lights chasing each other across the milky way at high speeds and tight angles that an aircraft is incapable of travelling. They zig-zagged directions and changed speeds in a game of chase for approximately 20 seconds. The two lights then came to a sudden stop when a third light approached equally fast from another angle. The three lights formed a triangle for a short period of time (approx. 5 seconds) then very quickly separated ways in three different directions. As they travelled they disappeared. The lights appeared as brighter stars within the milky way. We noticed them because of their "very" unusual pattern of movement. We could not make out any shapes. Thank you to the eyewitness for the interesting report. ---------------------- Prince George, British Columbia Arc Light Object Date: August 2002 Time: Approx: 4:30 a.m. A good friend here in Houston where I live, called me to let me know a friend of his was at his home and had a sighting report for to file for the Prince George B.C. area. I drove down and spoke to the fellow and he told me what he saw. (This sighting took place over the industrial site/British Columbia Railroad) As the witness was driving home from work he noted that it was just starting to get light out, (daybreak) and he was looking up above, and over the Fraser River. The fellow notices what he believes to be a helicopter in a stationary position. Still driving along the road, passing areas that were clear, meaning no trees blocking his view, he was still able to see this object. The best way he was able to explain what he saw, it was like watching a welder, and seeing the brightness of the arc welder. He said the light was intense, a bright white almost silver in color. He eventually found a place to pull his vehicle over and watch the strange sight. At this time the object quickly started to get smaller and smaller, he said it was like it was moving away from his position towards the west, (or shrinking in size) he also noted no sound could be heard coming from it. He finally lost sight of the object in approx: 25 seconds after he stopped his car. To this day this event has puzzled him as it was so strange. Thank you to the eyewitness for the report. --------------------- Corvallis, Oregon Star-Like Light Diamond Shaped Date: August 5, 2005 Time: 3:45 a.m. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: no shape. Too far away. Just like a Star. Full Description of event/sighting: I wont drown this with dramatic foolery, but I have been researching the net, to see if anyone else had seen this, so I'll report my story here. All that happened was that I was facing East and noticed a very, very bright star-like light in the sky, diamond shaped, but obviously that's because of optics. Sky and telescope.com's Sky Chart isn't working, so I couldn't say what star/or planet it was directly under, in terms of my line of sight as a relation to where it was in the sky. The star/planet was reddish and about a third of the way north of the horizon to the center of the sky, facing east/southeast. Anyways, this object was no doubt the brightest object in the sky, and soon began to startle me, and then I noticed it was moving northeast, but did not have blinking lights like that of a commercial aircraft. Soon the light began to decay but as it decayed the object seemed only to move faster and farther north into the night sky, tracing a quarter of the circumference of a circle. It wasn't a direct 90 or 45 degree angle turn. It was soft, but very fast. There was no noise to be heard in the silent hours of the night where I was, and it seemed to bright and too far away in the sky to be the average military jet. I'm not sure what it was, but nearly 4 hours into my 23rd Birthday, it was the highlight of that day. Thank you to the witness for their report. ------------------ St. John New Brunswick Large Orange Ball Date: August 13/14, 2005 Time: 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Message: I was not going to tell anyone. Myself and a friend saw something that could not be explain. There is a big Red Ball in the sky. It looked like a harvest Moon it moved across the sky then it stopped. went straight up, straight over, straight down, than it shrunk half it size. My friend was almost to her house and I yelled at her. Told her to look up it was over her head she described it looked like a Frisbee. Then it shrunk into a star and then it was gone. This was the 12 or the 13th of August nobody has reported this to the paper or the radio in my area. I live St. John New Brunswick Canada. I was doubtful about UFOs but there is absolutely no way to explain this. And if my neighbor had not seen it I would have never said a word. I would like to know if anybody seen anything like this before. Thanking you. Additional Information: I will do the best I can. I am pretty sure it was August 13 around 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on 14th. My neighbor was going home so I went out to lock my truck. As she was walking to her house I seen what I thought was the moon. I thought to myself it is awful late at night for bright orange moon. Then it started moving across the sky it was to the East. So I yelled to my neighbor to look up. She looked back toward me and did not see nothing. She started to walk home again I yelled at her again this time she stared back down the driveway. She got about halfway down my driveway that's when I told her look up. When she look up she could not believe what she was seen it looked like it was directly over her. As we watched it, it shrunk into a star. It was a clear night with just a few clouds not around the object that's how come I couldn't tell how high it was. I could not hear a thing. We watched his thing which seemed like forever but if I had to guess I would say anywhere between two to five minutes. There is an airport East of me but no plane or helicopter or glider or balloon couldn't move like this. Or shrink into a star at fast that quiet and that cool. There is a military base 60 to 80 miles to the North. But this is can Canada, are military couldn't have anything that moves like that. Last year I had some IQ test and other tests, one test was for commonsense. My score I was in the top 90% of the population for commonsense. If I had any reason to think this could be anything other than some from another world I would never tell anybody. It was just like I was watching a movie with unbelievable effects that makes you believe the is movie real. I am 100% sure no one on this planet could make or fly in that kind of pattern. In these tests I had done they did find I had hard time remembering facts when I study. So I hope what I do remember helps you. The first time I wrote I said it was red but when you said Orange, that made more sense because I thought it was a harvest Moon which is orange. But I think it was a bright orange sorry that my memory is not that good. That is something I will remember all my life and hope someday to have a chance again. There is some really interesting objects caught on film. But what I am doing, is to place a video trailer to my website in which the fellow has put together in a short clip. Again some interesting things to be found in this footage. I have added a report for one of the sightings below, followed by photos and footage. Around 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2005 I began filming an oblong distortion/object. When the probe cane into the frame the bottom. It does a half circle around the main object, moving slowly to the right, and hovers for 15 minutes. It hovers above a power line) in my line of sight) then moves away slowly to the right until out of view. Through binoculars it looked like a golden piece of pop-corn, with blue coming off of one side. The camcorder picks up the distortion field, not what is seen with the eye or binoculars. I have seen many things this year. Visual effects, or tricks, are almost always played. I believe this is due to frequency or field generation. We are still steaming in the 112 degree temperatures today so I decided to work indoors on analyzing some of my recent videos and noticed something very interesting. On this day I captured my first day object of the year, which you have and posted to your website but was surprised to see what else appeared in this video clip. I noticed that several objects were flashing so I slowed the video to 1/3 speed to see their movements and was caught by surprise. You can see that another object appears at the right of the screen heading towards the main object I was taping. The object on the right stops and waits for another object to pass in front of it moving extremely fast. There was very little wind and the altitude of these objects were over 5K ft. I am confident that these objects are not balloons for the obvious reasons. Like the movement and the different directions these 3 objects are going. I also can't see this as pieces of paper being blown around in the wind since it wasn't windy that day. Birds and planes are also thrown out. What do you think? Today I walked over to my garden and noticed an object that was lower and brighter than most that I’ve seen. I watched it for about 6 or 7 minutes and took about a dozen photos. At first I thought it was a plane, but it didn’t move like one. It was traveling very slowly south-to-north, although the breeze at ground level was west-to-east. Here is the best of the photos along with a blowup to see what you think. In the blowup, you’ll see some dark objects – these are birds. Any ideas? I just wanted to share a .. sighting with you. I think at least that's what it was. On, Thurs, Aug 25/2005 at about..10:30pm I saw something moving horizontally through the sky. My bedroom window has a clear view of the golden ears mountains here in Pitt Meadows. I have never before been sure if I've actually believed in this sort of thing before. But, this was amazing.. They were moving east across the sky.. I say they because there was two lights.. either two something's or one big something. I was squinting and couldn't remember where I put my binos. Every once in a while it would flash a lovely golden light of sorts but that maybe because the moon was large and orange that night and I suspect it was reflecting. The movement was erratic.. fast.. then slower.. then it would hover.. then it moved diagonal upwards.. I heard something in the driveway and ran to the other window to see.. it was a cat.. by the time I got back to my bedroom window.. it was gone. Anyway, that's all I have for you.. wasn't even sure if I should report it but there you go for what it's worth. Thank you to the eyewitness for the report. -------------------- Nanaimo, British Columbia Fast Moving Light Veered Slightly East Date: August 28, 2005 Time: 8:45 p.m. Message: Hi Brian: We live in Nanaimo British Columbia and we were northbound on the Island Highway this evening at about 8:45 pm when we witnessed a very bright light coming towards us just to the east and travelling in a southerly direction. I saw it first and thought it was a meteorite and I drew my husband's attention to the object. It did not have a tail. It appeared to be travelling extremely quickly, much faster than an airplane and in a straight line when all of a sudden it veered slightly east and upwards at an angle and disappeared into the clouds. It was almost dark but not quite. We pulled the car quickly over to the side of the highway and stared out the window expecting the object to appear through the cloud cover on the other side but it just disappeared.
