  • Closing programs that are you are not using is necessary for maximum use of resources To close out of programs properly, simply use the "Quit," "Exit," or "Close" command under the File option on the menu. Some programs will ask if you really want to exit and you simply click "Yes" or hit return.

      How to Re-boot a Computer

    1. Mousetrapped pages include code that disables the browser's back, forward, and exit buttons. Clicking on these buttons causes new pornographic pages to open, creating a seemingly endless, inescapable loop. Because of Mouse-trapping, it is important to know how to manually exit a program or re-boot the computer (often the only way to get out of a trap).

      For Windows based Computers:

    1. End Task Bring up the Close Program dialog box by pressing Control-Alt-Del.
    2. Your PC will ask if you want to End Task, Shut Down or Cancel.
    3. Selecting End Task will allow you to exit from your current programs and is useful when a program has frozen.
    4. Selecting Shut Down will reboot if the PC is completely frozen and you can't shut down from the Task Bar. Restart as soon as you can after you end a task.If you can not End Task try:
    5. 2. Warm Re-start- A "Warm re-start" does NOT require the computer to be turned off manually with the on/off button. Go to the Windows Start button on the Task Bar and select Shut Down. A dialog box will appear with the options: Shut Down, Restart, or Restart in MS-DOS mode.
    6. Select Re-start and the computer will re-boot.If a Warm Restart fails try:
