EPISODE 130 :
(19.February , NED3)
NEW CHARACTERS : KURT , NIKKI , DENNIS , BARNETT .
The Hartley High students have to move to their new school "Hartley Heights School" . When they arrive there , they are being called "rejects" and being waterbombed !
Also , there seem to be no free lockers for our gang , and in class , Bailey has to go back to an earlier chapter in the book , because the Hartley Heights students were 6 chapters behind !
Ryan meets Nikki again at school , after he talked to her at the streetcorner where she was busking . He wants to go out with her sometime , and he wants to be her manager .
Then Anita is also being locked up in the girls' toilets , and when Mai is not allowed to share a locker , she wants revenge !
Drazic isn't complaining about the new school , he thinks it's "bladers paradise" ! They even have a blade contest this week , it's a school tradition and it's a race against the clock .
But Les Bailey goes to see the new principal , Barnett , together with his students to solve the problems .
Barnett tells them they'll have to send a representative to the "student council" , because there the students of Hartley Heights discuss about school problems .
Anita is chosen to be the representative for the Hartley High students , but when she attends in the council , nobody seems to have respect for her opinion and those of the other HH students .
Mai wants revenge though , and she puts glue all over the lockers so nobody can open them anymore !
Barnett is furious and she wants to let the students pay for the repair costs , if nobody admits to be the culprit .
Mai goes to see the principal and admits she did it . Barnett can't believe it because she heard she was a bright student at Hartley High .
Ryan & Nikki decide to meet after school and have a drink at the harbour . Ryan promised Nikki he would help her with Science , but soon Nikki finds out he doesn't understand much
about Science himself , and he only wanted to go out with her because he likes her a lot !
When Kurt hears about it , he tells Ryan to stay away from Nikki , and at a rugby game at school , he tackles Ryan very hard to make that message clear to Ryan .
Then the next day , Drazic wants to run "The Blade" , although Barnett forbid the contest after somebody got badly hurt by blading at school , earlier that week .
But Kurt & Dennis decide to let him run the contest , and of course , our Draz wins and beats the all time record !
The student council decides not to punish Drazic for breaking Barnett's rules , because he tried to keep up their school tradition .
And from now on , the Hartley High students are being respected at Hartley Heights , and all problems are solved !

EPISODE 150 :
(5.May'98 , BBC2)
Kurt meets an old friend , Lachlan , who invites him to join his training group . Lachlan & his mates train really hard to keep fit and they're also doing a lot of effort in keeping nature clean .
They're so fanatic about it that they accuse the homeless & the poor of destroying the environment , and they want to get rid of them .
Kurt thinks at first Lachlan's got a point , and in class he mentiones some of Lachlan's ideas , which the others don't like of course !
Anita asks Kurt if he's serious about it , and she first doesn't agree with him , but when she meets Lachlan , she thinks he's got a point .
At the Shark Pool , D'Espo tells Drazic he bought the place , and he's now the new manager & boss . When Mai finds out , she quits her job at the Shark Pool , because she doesn't want have anything to do with D'Espo anymore , after what happened at the warehouse .
Drazic hates D'Espo's new ideas in changing the place and raising the prizes , but because D'Espo will pay him a part of the profit (D'Espo still ows him some money for that stereo he stole from Drazic ), he keeps doing his job .
Nikki isn't having much success lately with busking , and Ryan decides to help her by raising some money at school for making a videoclip .
He can borrow the camera from school , and after they raised enough money , Nikki is ready to do the clip . Mai , as director , thinks the city suburbs are an appropriate place for the clip , so the whole gang moves there with all their stuff ,
and they make the "All my love" videoclip . Later in class , Mr.Albers thinks it's a real masterpiece , and they're all very talented !
At training , Kurt thinks Lachlan is being too agressive , and after Lachlan beats up some guy on the street , he decides to leave his training program .
Meanwhile D'Espo has to admit to Drazic that he was wrong in raising all the prizes at the Shark Pool , because all the customers left , so he decides to turn the prizes as they were before !
Finally , after school , Lachlan apologizes to Kurt for acting so agressively , and he tells Kurt he's always welcome back at the training center .
EPISODE 151 :
(19.May'98 , BBC2)
Lachlan & Anita find out the clubhouse of the training center has been trashed by someone with graffiti all over it . Lachlan immediately knows the poor people from the suburbs did it , and he wants to punish them for it by
bringing them a visit and beating them up . Anita tells him he shouldn't start a fight , and that they only did it because they were driven away by him and his mates .
But Lachlan doesn't think so and together with his gang , he will trash their place .
Nikki got a phonecall from Ice Records , and she's invited for a meeting with the boss , who obviously liked the video !
She's so happy about it , and she hopes she will finaly get her big break now . When she arrives at Ice Records , the boss doesn't recognizes her and asks her where Mai is .
He tells her she's a great singer , but that he's more interested in the maker of the video right now , because he needs a new director .
Back at school , Nikki is furious and she tells Mai about it , she hopes she's satisfied now by "spoiling" her chance to break through .
Mai is astonished about it , but on the other hand she's very happy of course , and she meets the boss of Ice herself .
She gets offered the job , and at school she asks Mr.Albers what she should decide : stay and do her HSC , or rather take the chance and go work at Ice.
He thinks it's a great opportunity for her and she can do the HSC still afterwarts when things shouldn't work out after all .
Mai decides to take the chance , and Mr.Albers also tells his class that he got a new job offered at a theatre , and he's leaving too .
So Mai leaves Hartley Heights , and all her friends wish her all the best on her "goodbye"party at Shark Pool .
Lachlan and his gang go to the poor , and there they find Kurt & Anita who try to stop them from trashing the place .
Lachlan tells Kurt to step aside , or he will have to beat him also ; Kurt tells him he'd take the risk , and so Lachlan punches his "friend" .
When Lachlan's mates see her "leader" is gone nuts , they leave the place and Lachlan stays alone .
So the problem's solved , the poor don't have to be afraid of Lachlan anymore , and everyone's happy !
EPISODE 152 :
(26.May'98 , BBC2)
Nikki tells Anita that she doesn't want to spend more time with Kurt for a while , because lately he's always with her amost every evening .
So she asks Anita if she could tell Kurt they have a "girls"night , and she's not free to go out this evening .
A new teacher , Mr.Delaine , and his son Lee arrive at Hartley Heights , to replace Mr.Albers .
Lee wants to fit in with the guys , so he asks Drazic & Dennis if they couldn't be mates . Drazic tells him that's only possible if he passes
a sort of "initiation test" . Lee agrees to do it , and he will smoke a cigarette in front of the principal's eyes !
He gets on detention , and afterwarts his dad tells him he'd rather not do such a stupid "dare" game anymore .
But the next day , Drazic tells him he didn't pass the test , and he has to do a second one . Dennis made a big drawing of Barnett , and he has to hang it up somewhere the whole school could see it and
laugh at Barnett . Lee tells him he has got a great idea , he will hang it up at the top of the school tower ! So he climbs up , being watched by the whole school , and Drazic & Dennis amuse themselves !
At the top , he hangs up the drawing , and Barnett asks him to come down immediately . But when Lee looks down to her , he suddenly freezes and he can't move himself . Mr.Delaine arrives and tells Lee to hang on ,
and he saves his son from falling down . At home , he's very angry about his son for doing such an idiot and dangerous stunt . Lee apologizes to him , and tells him it won't happen again.
The next day , Kurt has invited Nikki for a special dinner at the warehouse , and after dinner , he gives Nikki a ring he bought for her . Nikki tells him it's beautiful , but she can't accept it , because their relationship is over .
Kurt doesn't understand , but Nikki tells him it's not his fault , it's just she doesn't feel the same way about him anymore .
Later at school , Nikki tells Anita she broke up with Kurt , but she feels miserable now for hurting Kurt's feelings . Kurt stayed at home , and he drinks up all the alcohol there's left at the warehouse .
After school , Nikki visits him and she finds him very drunk , but Kurt tells her to get lost .
At the Shark Pool , Ryan doesn't want to be ordered around by Draz anymore , and he tells D'Espo he'd better treat them equal , or he'll quit .
D'Espo tells him he'll promote him to "Special Functions Manager" , and he can organize a girls' party at the poolhall .
Ryan agrees of course , but later on the party turns out to be a birthday party for a bunch of kids , and Ryan expected girls of his age of course !
He even has to dress him like a clown and do some acrobatic stunts for the kids , because Drazic takes care of the food & drinks allready .
Afterwarts , D'Espo tells him he did a great job , but Ryan throws a cake in D'Espo's face and tells him he definately quits his job now !
Kurt meets Nikki at school , and apologizes for being so rude , and tells her they still could be friends .
Finaly , when Lee arrives at school , Drazic asks him to play some basketball , so Lee could be a part of the group like he always wanted .
EPISODE 153 :
(02.June'98 , BBC2)
Sarah came back from the country , without Kat , and Ryan is very glad to see her . She stays at a small apartment , because she wants to be responsible for herself , and she returns to Hartley Heights to do her HSC .
In the evening , Drazic & Kurt are really bored alone at the warehouse ,(without Mai ordering them around!) and they decide to search for some chicks at the Shark Pool .
There they meet a nice looking girl , called Penny , who happens to be free at the moment , and they arrange a date for the next evening , where they'll watch a movie together at the warehouse .
The next day at school , Lee is trying to be friendly to Nikki & Anita , and when he hears that Nikki's looking for a car , he tells her he can get her a real bargain at the car market where his mum works .
So the two girls go to the car market , and they soon find out the prices are much higher than they expected ! But there's this small red car Nikki likes a lot , and the price is about 1500$ .
She has only got 1000$ , and they ask Lee if he couldn't arrange it for her to reduce the price with 500$ . Lee thinks it's no problem , and the next day he tells them his mum agreed about the price .
But when Anita & Nikki want to buy the car for 1000$ , Lee's mum tells them she's sorry and she can't sell it for that kind of price ,and also , Lee never even told her about it !
Later at school , the girls are angry with Lee of course , but he tries to explain them he "just got the price wrong ".
At the warehouse , Drazic & Kurt are having dinner with Penny , and later on they'll all watch a Mel Gibson movie .
Drazic wants to get rid of Kurt , because he wants Penny for his own , but Kurt also wants Penny !
The two guys even toss about who gets her , but when Penny heard them , Drazic explains they just tossed about who has to do the dishes .
After the movie's finished , Kurt says he goes to sleep , and unfortunately for Draz , Penny wants to leave also because she has to work early in the morning .
But before she leaves , she tells Draz he can meet her again tomorrow at Shark Pool . The next day , Penny meets Kurt after school , and she also proposes him to meet
her at Shark Pool that night . So the two boys get dressed , both saying to each other they have to meet a girl at the movies , because Penny told them not to tell about their dates .
That night , Penny isn't showing up at the Shark Pool , and they both know they have been dobbed in ! When they return home , they even find a weird "present" from Penny :
it's a big piece of meat hanging their with a note on , telling she doesn't want to go out with guys who treat a girl like meat !
Sarah tells Ryan about the problems she has with her new housekeeper , who beats his wife all the time , and after telling Mr.Delaine about it ,she's convinced enough to move out and search for a new place .
Mr.Delaine tells her she can stay at the Delaine's house , and Sarah thinks that's a good idea ; so from now on , Lee will be able
to keep Sarah company at his house !
EPISODE 154 :
(16.June'98 , BBC2)
Kurt tries to convince Anita to do something about her condition , since she's always feeling tired lately . So she agrees that Kurt will be her personal trainer .
During training , another guy , Tod , tries to help her and give her advice , but Kurt tells him to get lost .
In class , Nat tells the students they're having an IQ test in the afternoon ; it's an anonymous test , and it will not influence the HSC marks .
After doing the test , Nat takes the papers with him at home , and there he talks about the results with Jill . But Lee couldn't help from hearing their conversation too , and after his parents left the room ,
he looks at the results , which are normally strictly confidential . The next day at school , Lee goes telling everyone that some idiot scored very low at his IQ test , and he gives everyone a tip when Draz comes along .
Lee also insults Drazic , and they start a fight , but Kurt & Ryan are ready to keep those two apart !
Now everybody knows however that Drazic scored very low at his test , and soon also Barnett hears from it .
Barnett , who suggested Drazic to do something in engineering before , now calls Drazic in her office and tells him he'd better not take any more extra subjects for the moment .
Drazic is very upset by the whole thing , and now even thinks of dropping out of school !
But his friends at the Shark Pool try to convince him he doesn't need those stupid IQ tests , he'll succeed without it .
And after D'Epso introduced him to a guy who's producing sporting goods , Drazic believes he can design his own new blades , no matter what result he had on the test .
Nat asks his son Lee to apologize to Drazic , and so he does , but Drazic tells him to get lost .
Kurt is training again with Anita , and Tod is there too . When Kurt asks him to leave again , Tod wants to test Kurt to proove he's fitter than him .
Tod wins , but he didn't want to upset Kurt and he invites Kurt & Anita to go kayaking with him .
The next morning , Kurt arrives early and he & Tod decide to start already without waiting for Nite .
When they finish , they find Anita waiting there at the lake , and she tells the guys it's time for school now , and she doesn't need them anymore for training , she'll train herself from now on .
Barnett finaly changed her mind , after Nikki spoke to her , and tells Drazic that if he really wants to do engineering , he can .
But Drazic tells her he will be successful without going to university , and he prooves it to her by showing what a great blader he is !
EPISODE 155 :
(07.July '98 , BBC2)
Kurt is training again with Rob for the kayaking championships . So far , everything is working perfectly , and the two are confident to win the race .
At school , Nikki is complaining about the fast food at school , and she wants to get rid of it , and sell more healthy food herself .
Barnett thinks it's worth trying and so the next lunchbreak , there are no more hotdogs or meatpies available when Draz asks for it .
He has to buy a salad sandwiche , and when he starts eating it , he thinks it tastes so bad that he almost can't breathe anymore !
After school , Draz & Dennis go to the Shark Pool to get some "real" food there , and when D'Espo finds out about it , he thinks he could sell his food at school himself .
And it's a success , many pupils buy his food , but Nikki tells Barnett about it , and they get kicked out of school property .
But Draz has got an idea : if they can't sell it ON school property , they'll have to sell it through the school gate , from outside school .
Nikki is furious , and Barnett even calls the cops , who now complain about the fact that D'Espo doesn't have a license to sell his food on the streets .
Sarah has got the hots for Ryan , but she doesn't know how to tell him . When Lee finds out , he thinks he can help her with that .
They have to write a letter for school , so Sarah writes a letter to Ryan , but she doesn't write down his name , but another one .
Lee sees that , and he changes the name into Ryan , so he can put it into Ryan's locker at school . Ryan finds the letter , and later on he even reads it out loud in class .
Sarah is now angry with Lee , but when Lee tells Ryan about the whole thing , Ryan immediately goes over to Sarah's house .
There he asks Sarah out , but she thinks he's only doing it out of pity and she refuses the offer .
Anita asks Rob to come to the Shark Pool , because she likes him and they could get to know each other better .
But Rob tells her at Shark Pool he's gay , and they couldn't be a couple . Anita is shocked and tells Kurt later on he doesn't have to be jalous , because Rob's gay .
Now Kurt doesn't want to go to the training anymore , and he sort of insults Rob in class for being dishonnest with him .
But Anita thinks Kurt is acting stupid and he should go on with the race , and so Kurt turns up at the championships .
They win the race , and Kurt apologizes to Rob .
Lee still wants to bring Ryan & Sarah together , so he asks Sarah in the evening to dress up a bit for some pictures .
Outside , she finds out Ryan is waiting for her in a beautiful oldtimer , because he wanted to have a special first date with her .
Sarah is very happy , and Lee finally can take some nice pictures of the two lovebirds !

EPISODE 156 :
(14.July '98 , BBC2)
Mr.Pat Gregory , another teacher of Hartley Heights and a good old friend of Mr.Delaine is visiting the Delaines . Lee doesn't like him at all ,
because Pat's always comparing him with his dead brother Simon , who was a good student in Pat's class . At school , Lee wants to get even with Pat , and when Lee finds out some students are selling
car parts in the schoolyard , he gets an idea . He starts taking off the rear mirrors of Pat's car , and later on some other parts too .
Pat is furious of course , and he wants to know who did it , but Barnett doesn't want to involve the police .But Lee gives Pat a tip , and tells him there's a "market" going on at school .
Ryan wants to take out Sarah for a dance in a new disco in town . But Sarah can't dance , and she's to shy to tell Ryan .
D'Espo wants to learn Sarah how to dance , and he closes the Shark Pool early to dance with Sarah alone .
Ryan visits the Delaines , and finds out Sarah isn't there doing schoolwork , so he goes to the Shark Pool . There he finds Sarah and D'Espo dancing together ,
and without saying anything , he leaves . The next day , he asks D'Espo what's going on , and although D'Espo tells him the truth , he doesn't believe him .
Nikki & Anita hate to see a new centerfold poster at the bus stop , they think it's sexist how they use the female body to sell things .
Kurt & Dennis also stop by , and they of course like it ! Dennis even puts a copy of that poster on his locker at school , but Nikki quickly rips it off .
The two girls even want to take it further and they start spraying paint all over the poster at the bus stop , so the girl on it isn't naked anymore !
Kurt thinks they're overreacting and he takes away their spray can , just as the police arrives . At school , Barnett doesn't believe Kurt would do such a thing , but Kurt doesn't
betray the girls , and he has to clean up the poster !
Lee buys a car part in a shop , and he also asks a receipt for it . Then , at school , he asks Drazic to sell the part for him , and they would split the profit .
Just as Drazic sells the part , Mr.Gregory sees it , and he catches Draz to go with him . he also calls the police , but Barnett wants to work things out in her office .
Mr.Gregory accuses Drazic for selling stolen car parts at school , but then Lee arrives with the receipt in his hands , so the policemen see that the part isn't stolen after all .
Pat is furious at Lee for making a fool out of him , and because Barnett also wouldn't believe him , he leaves the school for good .
So Lee's plan worked , and Drazic tells him he might fit in with the group now for this "stunt" .
Barnett needs a representative for the school in a debate about feminism , and surprisingly for everyone she chooses Kurt , because of the whole poster affair !
Ryan goes to the Shark Pool because Sarah asked him to meet her there , and there's a cool western party going on there , where everyone is dancing !
Now Sarah teaches Ryan how to dance on the country music , and everything is back to normal between those two !
EPISODE 157 :
(21.July '98 , BBC2)
Lee is still being confronted with his "perfect" brother Simon who died in an accident . At home , Nat also wants him to move to another school , and Lee is so upset about it all that he decides to quit school .
Nat is furious , but Lee stays at home , no matter what his dad tells him . The next day , Lee has to clean up the garden and he decides to burn the old books of his brother too . Nat comes home and immediately freaks out and stops the fire .
Now they both have a big argument and Lee decides to leave the house .
In the evening , Kurt and Anita go to see a movie together , and when they arrive at the warehouse later , Drazic is waiting there and seems not to happy with the whole thing , he still has feelings for Anita .
And the day after , they also go to see another movie together , and because both are so dressed up , Drazic knows now they are serious about their date and they maybe have something together .
The next morning , he asks Kurt about what happened the other night , and Kurt just tells him he went to Anita's house afterwarts . Draz is very jalous , and when he sees the two kissing each other at school ,
he starts kicking the lockers and everything what's in his way ! He has a chat with Anita afterwarts at the beach ,he tells her that they both know where they stand now , and it's OK to see other people .
In class , Barnett offers the students the possibility to participate to the stock market , in a simulation , and the student who makes the highest profit by the end of the week , gets an A mark .
Soon most students make too much loss and drop out , but Ryan and Nikki seem to be doing very well ! Ryan makes such a profit that when D'Espo hears about it , he asks Ryan advice about his shares .
Ryan gives him some good advice , and D'Espo gives him free sandwiches in exchange . Nikki likes Dennis' new bike and when she hears he's selling it , she wants to buy it . But the price is 350$ ,and she only has 200$ .
So she decides to invest her money in shares of "Ryan's company" , for real , hoping she will make enough profit to buy the bike .
But unfortunately , that company lost a lot of money later on , and the shares dropped a lot , so she looses all her money . In class , Ryan made most profit with his shares and gets an A mark , because he transferred his money
soon enough to the company Nikki was in before .
Lee still isn't home , and he thinks of getting on a boat and sailing to Port Villa . he told Sarah about his plans , and she told Nat about it . Nat finds his son at the harbour , they sort things out , and they return home together .
EPISODE 158 :
(04.August '98 , BBC2)
Barnett gets a complaint from a old aged woman that two boys of Hartley Heights almost ran her off the street , and she can guess those boys were Drazic & Dennis .
After that , more negative complaints reach the school about other school members , and Barnett tells her senior students that they'd better watch out next time to avoid more trouble !
She also wants one of the students to do a public speech about school spirit , and Mr.Delaine thinks Anita is best suited for that job . But Anita doesn't want to at first , but because everyone thinks she's the best ,
she agrees . Meanwhile Nikki hears about the financial problems of a fellow student , Tascha . Her mother can't speak english very well , and she gets very little paid for her job .
Nikki wants to help and goes to talk to the boss of the company her mother works for . She tells him he'd better pay her more or she goes to talk to the authorities .
But the next day , Tascha isn't at school , and Nikki goes to her house and finds out her mum lost her job because of her .
Now Tascha can't go to school , and she has to find a job or they end up in the streets .
Sarah asks Ryan what he'd like to change about her , and Ryan thinks her nose is a bit odd . Sarah hates to hear that , and she desperately asks Drazic what to do about it .
He thinks she should get her a nose ring , and so she does ! The next day , when Ryan sees her with it , he hates it but he lies to hear that he does like it .
Drazic now thinks he can also make Ryan change his looks for Sarah , and he tells him that Sarah thinks he has a rather boring hairstyle .
So later on , Ryan walks into the Shark Pool with red strings in his hair ! Drazic loves it that his plan worked , but Sarah hates his new looks !
Nikki asks the boss to give Tascha's mum her old job back , and he agrees if Nikki would leave him alone now .
So Tachsa comes back to school , and she'll study hard now to get a better job in the future !
Sarah finds out that Ryan hates her nose ring , and he finds out that she doesn't like the red color in his hair neither , so they both turn their look like before .
Anita has to do the speech , and first , she has a lot of stagefright , but then , when Dennis tries to make fun of her , she gives a fantastic speech about school spirit ,
and so she recovers the good name of Hartley Heights School ! Well done Anita !!!
EPISODE 159 :
(25.August '98 , BBC2)
Barnett introduces a new ID system at school ; the students will get their own ID card and they should use the card each time they come into the classroom , in an ID reader .
Drazic & Dennis thinks the new system sucks , and they want to find a way to manipulate it . Dennis gives Drazic his ID card , so Drazic can also use Dennis'card when he goes to class ,
in exchange for a few $ ,so nobody will find out afterwarts Dennis actually went to the beach for a free afternoon ! And Drazic makes even more money
when also other students pay him for using their ID cards so they can have a free period .
Nat wants Lee to go out sometime , and he asks Ryan if he couldn't take him out . Ryan agrees and decides to take Lee to a football game , if Nat is paying for it .
Nat pays Ryan , and when Lee finds out , he thinks it's pathetic his father would actually pay somebody to take him out . But Ryan convinces Lee to go to the football game after all , and they leave
in the evening . They even get into a fight at the stadium , and when they finaly arrive home , Lee tells his dad he got the most exiting evening of his life !
Anita & Sarah got their provisional driver's licence , and need a driving instructor . Ryan refuses , but Kurt agrees to do the job .
But soon he finds out the two girls are terrible drivers and he tells them to get another instructor .
But the next day , he gets himself into a small car accident , and has to admit to Anita that girls aren't worse drivers after all .
Nikki wants to lend some books from the school library , but gets refused because she still needs to return another book first .
Then Barnett forbids her to use the computers , and Nikki is so angry that she rips off the new ID reader in class .
Now the whole ID system is down , and Barnett finaly decides to stop using it at Hartley Heights , which the students appreciate a lot !
EPISODE 160 :
(01.September'98 , BBC2)
Nat wants two students to act a play in class , and Kurt & Sarah agree to do it . There is a kissing scene involved though , which they both act so real , that Anita & Ryan get very jalous .
Drazic gets offered work experience , by washing cars and helping with the repairwork , at the firm where Jill works .
The next day , they do some commercials for the cars , and Jill has to do them normally , but she's so nervous for the camera
they have to look for somebody else to do the job . Drazic is willing to help , and he seems to be a natural in doing commercials ,
so he can do all of them ! He's of course very proud , but he wants to get paid for it too , if the sailes of cars would rise .
Nikki wants to protest against duckshooting , and she asks Lee if he would like to come too . Lee agrees and together they go to see the hunters and ask to stop the cruelty against nature . Afterwarts Nikki is so trilled they actually kept a few ducks alive by their protest ,that she thanks Lee by kissing him ! Lee thinks she has fallen in love with him , and he asks her later to go out with her to a concert .
But Nikki makes it clear to him that she doesn't want anything more with him , that she was just glad he helped her today .
In class , the students have to do the play again , and Kurt & Sarah decide to do another scene , without the kissing . But that scene
is such a disaster , that Nat asks them to do the first scene again , and so Ryan & Anita have to face the kissing scene a second time ! But finaly , at the warehouse , Anita & Sarah solve the problems between themselves and Kurt & Ryan , by making them apologize to each other .
EPISODE 161 :
(08.September , BBC2)
Ryan & Sarah's relationship is better than ever , and Sarah wants to sleep with Ryan for the first time . Because she never did it before
she wants to make it very special . The problem is to find a nice place where they can sleep together , and Sarah thinks the Delaines' wouldn't mind and asks them if she could bring a friend
home tonight . Mr.Delaine thinks she ment a girl , and he's very surprised to see Ryan and he understands they'll sleep together in his house . Lee knows his father wouldn't let that happen
and soon Nat talks to Sarah about it . He thinks it's nor the time nor the place for Sarah to spend the night with Ryan , and Ryan has to leave .
Sarah is angry at Nat , and the two have to find another solution the next day . Finally , they decide they can hire a motelroom , and so they're happy again .
Drazic gets the opportunity to do some more commercials for the cars where he does his work experience job , because the first ones where a huge success .
When D'Espo finds out about it , he thinks he should be Drazic's manager , because after all he becomes a TV-star . Drazic agrees with D'Espo , and the next day they go to
see Jill (Mrs.Delaine works in the car market) to talk about Drazic's future . After a discussion with D'Espo , she agrees he can keep his share of the sales , because there has been a huge rise in car sales
since Drazic did the commercials . Then , the new commercials are being filmed , and D'Espo keeps an eye on everything . Drazic changes the script a bit , because he thinks it's more "him" .
When both Drazic & D'Espo start to have big discussions in changing the original script too much , Jill sacks Drazic for the job and they have to return home without any money !
Anita doesn't like it that Kurt has plans for them every evening , and she tells him she's busy doing homework and stuff . Kurt thinks she's lying and he follows her to see what she's really doing in the evening .
He sees her getting out of a car , with a man sitting in front , who thanks her when she leaves . Kurt immediately goes to the man and tells him to stay away from his girlfriend . The man laughs at him and tells him to get lost .
But Kurt doesn't think so and he hits the man in the face . The next day , Anita says to Kurt he's crazy , the man he hit was her teacher from the driving school , and she makes him clear he'd better have more confidence in her
when he wants to stay her boyfriend .
EPISODE 162 :
(29.September'98 , BBC2)
Hartley Heights High is playing a basketball tournament against other schools . Now , the next match is coming up and the winner gets a place into the semi-finals .
Most of the boys attend to the team : Drazic , Kurt , Ryan and Dennis certainly want to win that match . Anita will film the whole match with her videocamera , so they all could
see the match again afterwarts . Then the match begins , and first everything goes well for Hartley , but everyone is playing so individually , especially Draz and Kurt . Kurt is standing free
most of the time , while Drazic doesn't give him the ball but does it all by himself . Kurt is very angry , the Hartley team starts losing , and he insults an opponent . This causes a fight between the two , and someone hits Kurt in the back .
Soon everybody is fighting each other , and Barnett tries to stop the chaos on the field .
The next day , there has been send a complaint to Hartley from one of the parents of the other school , that their son got hurt during the match , and they want to press charges for it .
The police comes interrogating all the Hartley players , to find out who did it , but after that they still haven't found the offender .
Barnett tells the boys they're very lucky to get away with it so easily , and she doesn't want to see such behaviour anymore .
In the Shark Pool , D'Espo tells about the new "skirmish" game he wants to try out , and he asks if anyone feels interested to join him .
It's a survival game where two teams shoot with paint at each other , and the team who first takes the flag of the opponents wins .
Ryan , Lee , Nat (Lee's father) , Dennis and D'Espo are ready to be a team , and together they are going to play against other boys from Hartley .
When they arrive at the playing field , deep into the woods , they start searching for the ennemies . Nat , the leader , explains them their tactics , but soon ,
they get attacked and D'Espo gets hit first .Ryan , who has been given the job to search for the flag , is also attacked and out of the game . Our team is now down to 3 men , and Lee doesn't want to
listen to his father's tactics anymore , but tries a fast attack for the flag himself . Thanks to Dennis , he can reach for the flag and so Nat's team wins the game !
The next day , when Anita finds out that Drazic's the one that hit Kurt during the match , she knows Drazic is still very jalous , and she wants to keep it quiet , but Kurt
immediately wants to show the tape to Barnett . Anita tells Drazic about it , and Drazic asks her not to let him bring the tape , because otherwise he could be charged for assault
and maybe end up in prison ! (Drazic's still on probation) So Anita wipes off the piece where Drazic hit Kurt , and when Kurt plays the tape to Barnett , there's nothing on it .
Kurt is angry with Anita for helping out Drazic , and later at the warehouse he wants to hit Drazic , because Draz tells him that Anita is more faithful to him and he can trust her .
EPISODE 163 :
(06.October'98 , BBC2)
Anita is volunteering to help in a home for handicapped kids , after Barnett asked the students if anyone's interested.
The next morning , she goes to the home , and she soon makes some new friends . One of them , Mark , is suffering from the Down-syndrom , but he's actually very friendly to Anita ,
and he asks her if she will come back the next day ,because most of the volunteers don't . So Anita does go back , and there she sees Dennis leaving the home . She asks Mark about it ,
and Mark tells her Dennis is his brother and he just stept by to give him some money from his parents . Later , when Anita goes for a walk with Mark , a couple of boys from Hartley Heights
come across and one of them , Rick , asks Anita why she hangs out with such a looser . He keeps insulting Rick , and although Dennis is there too , he doesn't defend his brother .
At school , Anita asks Dennis why he didn't stand up for his brother , and Dennis tells her he's actually shamed of him . Because he also knows the Down-syndrom is heritable , there was a chance he also could get the syndrom ,
and he doesn't want to be reminded of that all the time .
Kurt is not so happy at the warehouse because he always has to do the housekeeping by himself , Drazic's always to lazy to do something .
He goes to see someone from the agency from which they rent the warehouse , and he asks for advice how to get Drazic out of there .
The advicer tells him they're both in the contract , so that's impossible , except when there would be a breach of contract . The man tells he'll help him to cause the contract get broken .
When they would break the house rules 3 times , they both would be out of the warehouse , and so the first time Kurt "forgot" to pay the rent and the second time Kurt makes too much noise on purpose .
Now they only have one chance left to keep the warehouse , but Kurt changes his mind to cooperate with the man the third time , because Drazic finds out the agency is already preparing to let the warehouse the next month to
somebody else , and they both would be on the street . And so , when the man comes complaining for the third time , Kurt makes him look like a fool , and they can keap the warehouse .
Lee wants to be more popular and he especially wants to impress a certain girl . Ryan gives him the advice to give a party at his house , and so , he does . At the party , he wants to get to know the girl better , but then her boyfriend
turns up , and Lee's back alone . Outside , he finds Nikki , and he tells her his story . Nikki tries to comfort him and she kisses Lee !!!
Also , at the party , Dennis turns up with his brother , first everyone is surprised about it , but then Drazic and the others welcome his brother , and they have a great party.
EPISODE 164 :
(13.October '98 , BBC2)
Nikki is very tensed at school , and everyone doesn't understand her weird behaviour . She's always missing classes more and more , and when she comes to school in wet clothes the next morning , she has to see Barnett in her office .
Nikki tells her everythings OK , but Nikki keeps missing classes the next days . She always goes to the park every morning , to the fountain where a statue draws her attention . Nikki thinks the statue is talking to her and telling her what to do .
When Lee finds out , he brings her to his home , and Nikki asks him if she can stay there for the night , because she can't be alone at night . The next morning , Lee wants to keep Nikki in his room till his parents are gone , but Nikki herself
comes out of his room and Mr.Delaine is furious ! He asks Lee why he slept with Nikki , but Lee tries to explain to him they didn't sleep together and Nikki needs help .
First Nat doesn't believe his son , but then when Nikki gets in panic , he agrees she needs professional help , and they take her to a psychiatric home .
There Nikki blames Lee for putting her there , but the doctors tell him he did the right thing and they're going to give her medication .
Kurt finds out Anita has still a photo of Drazic sitting in her purse , and he asks her to to take it away . Later , Drazic finds the photo in little pieces , and at school he asks Anita why she did that .
Anita tells Drazic that Kurt told her to do that , but she feels sorry . (she still feels something for Drazic !) Kurt wants to take a new picture of Anita & him , and so Anita has to put the new picture in her purse .
Later , at the Shark Pool , Anita gets a swimming-suit from Kurt , and he tells her they could go camping and swimming for the whole weekend . Anita doesn't want to actually , but because Kurt's her boyfriend , she agrees to it .
Drazic heard their conversation and he asks Anita if she really wants to go camping with Kurt this weekend , but Anita answers it's none of his business . The next day , just before they would leave for the weekend together , Anita tells Kurt she doesn't want to go .
Kurt furiously takes her bags out of the car and he tells her it's over between them !
EPISODE 165 :
(03.November '98 , BBC2 )
Kurt wants to raise some money for a good cause , he wants to help a male turtle who's on his own , by buying him a female turtle .
The others think he's nuts and they aren't very likely to give him some donations . D'Espo though , wants to organize a striptease party at the Shark Pool , so the money for the tickets can be used for Kurt's good cause .
But the costs for getting a striptease dancer and the share D'Espo wants for organizing the party seem higher as Kurt thought , which leaves almost nothing for Kurt's turtle .
Nikki is back from the psychiatric institution , and she seemes healed . Lee is still very protective for her , and he always wants to hang out with her . She doesn't like him to be around all the time , and she tells him to go away .
Back in class , she asks everyone to treat her as before , and Drazic & Dennis seem to have no problem with that .
Harold , the aged friend of Ryan from the elderly home , wants to leave the home . Ryan and Sarah are prepared to help him with that , and together they let him escape , because Ryan also thinks he's fit enough to live on his own .
They ask Drazic if Harold can stay at the warehouse , and because Draz was just looking for a flatmate , he agrees .
Later on , Drazic finds out that Harold is always forgetting stuff , he's always asking the same questions several times . Also , Harold doesn't know where he is sometimes , and so he turns up at school , where he tells Ryan and Drazic he's going
to do a concert at the Esplanade .( Harold's a saxophonist ) After school , when Ryan doesn't find Harold back at the warehouse , he gets worried and he goes to look for him .
He finds Harold still at the Esplanade , searching for the concert hall . Ryan tells him that the hall he played in isn't there anymore for a long time , and together they go home .
Drazic tells Ryan it would be better that Harold returned to the elderly home , because he can't watch out for him all the time .
Sarah shares Drazic's opinion , and Ryan & Harold return to the home , where he's being told Harold in fact is an Alzheimer-patient .
It even could become worse when he gets older , and Ryan has to say Harold goodbye .
It's the big night for the striptease party , and a lot of people turn up at the Shark Pool . Then , an Arabic girl comes on stage , and starts undressing herself .
D'Espo doesn't understand who it could be , but Anita finds out very quickly , it's Kurt himself dressed like a girl ! They all have a good time , Kurt gets his money ,
and at the end we can see two turtles happily together !!!
EPISODE 166 :
(10.November , BBC2)
A new student , "Bonnie" is arriving at Hartley Heights School . She's the daughter of a famous Australian tennis player and she's also training hard
for the finals . Her mother makes her training program very hard , and she doesn't give Bonnie the time to go on dates or hang out after school ,
the only thing that counts is tennis ! When she wants to train on the tennis court at school , Kurt and his mates are playing soccer on it , and she tells them to leave .
Kurt doesn't want to , and she tells him they could play for it : Bonnie wins with 3-0 and Kurt has to leave the field . Later at school , Kurt wants to know more about her , and
she tells him he can go with her to the training . There , Bonnie's mother tells Kurt to stay away from Bonnie , because she has to concentrate for the finals .
Meanwhile Drazic got a two-weeks detention from Barnett for insulting her twice in class . But Barnett offers him a proposal : or he sits out his detention for two weeks ,
or he can fix Barnett's car . Of course he prefers the "fixing the car" option , and while fixing the car , he finds a love letter for the principal from a friend in London .
He tells Dennis about it , and together they decide to copy the letter and sell it for 10 Dollars to the students !
But when he finds out that Barnett's heart is broken because her friend just broke up with her , he decides to put the letter back and destroy the photocopies .
Ryan is visiting the Delaine's very frequently , to see Sarah , and Mr.Delaine tells Sarah they'd better find another place to stay the whole day , because he and his wife don't
want them there all the time . Ryan tries to make it up by cooking them a meal , but he knows it's better for them to look for their own place to stay .
Back at school then , Bonnie asks Kurt out on a date , but he tells her he's busy . When she finds out her mother spoke to Kurt about her relationship ,
she's furious and she leaves training . And so , at the end , she and Kurt go out for a walk and to the movies .
Drazic agrees that Ryan can stay at the warehouse now , so he and Sarah now can have more privacy without being disturbed by the Delaines ,
and after all he now doesn't have to pay the rent on his own anymore !
EPISODE 167 :
(17.November'98 , BBC2)
Bonnie gets offered a contract from her mother for a tennis career , and she asks Kurt to read it for her . Also , in class , Mr.Delaine asks her to read a piece from a book , but she tells him she
has an appointment with one of her sponsors , so she asks permission to leave his class . Now Kurt understands what's her problem : she can't read ! When he asks her about it , she gets angry and she runs aways . Kurt goes to Bonnie's mother and informs her about her daughter's problem . But she tells him there will be plenty of time later when she's a tennis superstar to learn how to read .
Sarah gives Ryan an expensive present , an antique clock , so he could always think of her when he gets up in the morning .
Ryan ,now staying at the warehouse with Drazic , hasn't got any money left to buy him a new bed , so Drazic proposes him to sell the clock and give it in pledge in a store .
After all , in that way , he can buy a new bed now , and buy the clock back after a month , when he has the money for it .
When Sarah sees Ryan's new furniture , she asks him where he got the money and where the clock is . Ryan tells her the clock's safe , but later on Sarah asks Lee to check out what's really going on .
So when they find out the truth , they want to teach Ryan a lesson by "stealing" the receipt and buying the clock in the store themselves .When Ryan goes after the clock , because Sarah asked him to ,the clock's gone of course , and back at the warehouse he has to tell her the truth , and then Lee turns up with the clock in his hands .
At school , they're learning about the human excretory system in biology class , and the students have to do a urine test . The next day , when everyone brings his bottle to class ,
Drazic doen't know that Dennis spoiled his botlle to make it look like Drazic has got a disease when they test it in class , because Drazic picked on him very much lately .
Drazic gets really worried when Barnett tells him to go see a doctor , and he becomes very "un-Drazic" in class by telling everyone they should be happy they can learn and he likes being at school !!! (who'd ever thought that Drazic would say such a thing !)
But when he went to the doctor , he knows that everything is fine of course , and Dennis tells him how he made him look like a fool .
Drazic apologizes to Dennis for giving him such a hard time lately , and the two make up . Finally Bonnie decides to drop tennis and go back to school to learn how to read , thanks to Kurt , she saw the importance of it .
EPISODE 168 :

CHARACTER LEAVES : NIKKI
The local park , where Ryan & Anita used to play when they were kids , is about to be removed .
A company wants to build a big apartment block there . Anita thinks they should react to that and launch a protest against the building project . Ryan agrees , and together they ask somebody they know from the Hartley Council , to help them .
Drazic hears about a competition on the radio , in which you can win a stereo set , and because his old one is broke , he decides to participate . At the pier , he meets Kurt , who also wants to join the competition . So they both end up with each other in the contest , together with another girl . They have to sit in a Ferris wheel , and the one who stays up there last , wins a new stereo set ! Nikki and Lee will do their politics assignment together , and Nikki comes up with a really professional work . But when Lee finds out that she just copied her work from a quotation in a book , and tells his dad about it in a certain way , Nat asks Nikki to rewrite her assignment , or he'll have to fail her . Nikki however , who already has to little time to keep up with all the other subjects , refuses to rewrite her work .
The company manager pays Ryan a visit at school , and asks him about his protest against the project . He convinces Ryan that his company will make the place look even better , and
give up the protest , against the will of Anita of course .
Later , the council decides to go on with the project , but also that there have to be build 50 more houses , so the park will be fully demolished ! Anita is very angry at Ryan and the lady from the council , but Ryan tells her it's all 'bout the money and there was no way to stop the project.
Drazic and Kurt win the competition together , because they got out of the Ferris wheel at the same time . Also , they decide to stop arguing about Anita , and they are both very happy with their new stereo set !
Finaly , Nikki decides to leave school , because she can't keep up with all the work anymore .
Lee tells her he's going to miss her , and after she tells him what a sweet guy he is , she leaves .
EPISODE 169:
(01.December , BBC2)
Kurt is acting very weird lately , always very agressive at school . Later on , in class , it almost ends up in a fight between Ryan and him , because he was insulting Sarah .
Mr.Delaine tells him to leave the classroom , and outside he asks Kurt what the hell he was trying to proove there in class .
Kurt tells Nat that he doesn't understand his problem , and he punches him in the face . Therefore , Kurt gets suspended till further notice .
Barnett also informs the department about the incident and the next day 2 cops are arriving at Hartley Heights to investigate it .
They also have a chat with Kurt , and they tell him he even could be charged for assault .
At the warehouse , Drazic and Ryan don't know what to eat , there's nothing much left in the frich , just some leftovers .
Ryan decides they could throw some dices for it : when it's even , they go eat something in the Shark Pool , when it's odd , they stay at home and eat there .
It turns out even , so they go to the poolroom ; there Drazic shows Ryan a little trick to get some money by forcing one of the videogames there , and soon many Dollar coins fall out into Drazic's hands !
And their game continues at school ; they play with the dices , when it's even , they should tell the truth , when it's odd , they should lie . First , it turns out to work and it's funny , but later on Drazic forces Ryan to tell Sarah the truth about her new parfume (and he hates it!!!) , and Drazic has to lie against Anita and has to tell her she's not better than the other girls ! Anita is very upset and tells Drazic he just blew up his last chance with her , but Drazic tries to tell her it's just a game . So now both Ryan and Drazic have caused problems with the persons they love !
Lee's mother Jill gives him a new jacket , but Lee thinks it looks stupid . When he comes to school dressed with it , everybody laughs at him for being such a "mother's child".
When his mother also wants him to go to a party with her dressed in a tuxedo , he tells her he won't were any of her stuff anymore , and decide which clothes he wears himself .
The next day , Kurt is coming back to school to see Mr.Delaine , and tells him why he hit him . It's because everybody forgot it's his 18.Birthday , he didn't even got a card from his mother or father !
Mr.Delaine now understands he's so angry and tells him he'll drop all charges against him , but he has to try being less agressive .
And so , in the Shark Pool , he gets a small birthday cake from Dennis and things work out , except for the fact that Kurt tells him he won't come back to school , but he will look for a job instead !
