Drazic Bogdon (Callan Mulvey)
Drazic is the newest blading expert and troublemaker at Hartley , always getting on somebody's nerves . But he can be very sensitive too , soon he falls for Anita , and they
get together , although Ryan , Anita's brother , doesn't like that at all ! Draz & Anita get into trouble when shoplifting , and they are forbidden to see each other again.
But "love is blind" , and they get back together after a while . Drazic almost leaves school , when he gets the opportunity to do proffesional blade commercials all over the world .
He doesn't take the job though , and he stays with his friends at Hartley . Drazic Ruuuuuules !
Anita Scheppers (Lara Cox)
"Nite" is a gorgeous and friendly girl , who also starts her HSC-year in these series .
She's Melanie's best friend , and she lives together with her mum and her brother Ryan , who also sits in her class now.
Anita falls in love with Drazic , and she's always around when he needs her . After she's forbidden to see Drazic again , cause of the shoplifting she did with Drazic ,
she also has a brief relationship with Charlie , but she can't forget Drazic and she starts seeing him again . She almost leaves home to go live with Draz in an appartment ,
but they can't affort it , and they decide to keep living seperately (for the moment).
Ryan Scheppers (Rel Hunt)
Ryan comes back to live at his mother's house , after a big fight with his father . He promises to go to school and finish
his HSC , so he starts at Hartley High together with his sister Anita . Ryan is very sportive and he plays a lot of basketball after school . He gets himself into many
"relationships" , with Mai , Katerina , Melanie and even with a "school model" in the life drawing classes . He also gets a visit from his father , who asks him if he's interested
in being a partner in his father's company , but Ryan decides to stay at school and finish his HSC-exams first .
Mai Hem (Nina Liu)
"Mai" makes a very excentric "entree" at Hartley High , dressed in a wild fur coat and a lot of make-up on her , and she's brought to school
by the police ! Her real name is actually "Stephanie Tan" , but because she doesn't want to be confronted with her rich father , and lead her own life , she changes her name in
"Mai Hem" .The others soon find out that she's a "different" person , and she always has her own opinion about things .
When Ryan falls in love with her , she first doesn't like him , but after they get to know each other better , she falls in love with him .
Charlie Bird (Sebastian Goldspink)
Charlie is repeating his HSC year , together with Katerina , in order to get higher marks at the end of the year and study
informatics afterwarts . After a while though , he splits up with Kat , because of her different opinions on several things , e.g. about babies when a baby is left at the warehouse by someone .
He gets involved in a relationship with Aurora , a "new age" girl who visits Hartley High with her father who's a teacher .
When he moves out of the warehouse afterwarts, and stays at the Scheppers' house , he falls for Anita , and he tells her about his strong feelings for her . Their relationship doesn't last very long ,
because Anita is still in love with Drazic , and Charlie leaves Anita's house and he can stay at Melanie's place for a while , where he falls in love with Melanie .
After having several arguments with her about school marks , he leaves her , and at the end of the series , he finds out that his true love is Katerina , and he & Kat leave Hartley and go live in Perth .
Katerina Iannou (Ada Nicodemou)
Katerina hopes to finish her HSC year , and she still loves Charlie a lot .
She's also very busy running the Shark Pool , because the Bordino's left for Europe , and Leo Fine who bought the Poolroom , decided she could be in charge now .
Kat moves into the warehouse , after Charlie also moved in there .She misses Charlie a lot when he leaves her , and although she tries stop thinking about him , she can't .
At the end of the series , she wants to go to Perth and join the Dance Academy , that's what she always wanted to do in the first place . Fortunately , Charlie still loves her
and together they leave Sydney and hopefully live a beautiful life at the other end of Australia !
Melanie Black (Rebecca Smart)
Melanie is the bright girl , she's always getting A's on her assignments . She came into the series at the end of Series 4 actually ,
when she had a crush on Declan and her father had to save the Shark Pool for not becoming a nightclub . When the new schoolyear starts , the new headmaster , Les Bailey ,
assigns her to be the student liason officer . But because of the bad name she got by "dobbing" everyone in , she quits the job , and things turn back to normal .
Her father is an accountant , and most of the time away from home , but Mel has her own place to live , she has everything she needs .(except a boyfriend)
She also goes on an exchange program to Paris , but there she wasn't happy , and she almost got pregnant , so she came back to do her HSC .
Hillary Scheppers (Tina Bursill)
Hillary lives together with her daughter Anita , after she got divorced from her husband , who lives with their son Ryan .
But Ryan left his dad and moves in with Hillary and his sister , to go to school at Hartley High also . Hillary mostly works at night , as a nurse in the local hospital .
She knows they aren't the perfect family , but she keeps doing the best she can to make everyone happy , and take care of Anita & Ryan until they graduate .
Les Bailey (Peter Sumner)
Bailey is the new "acting" principal at Hartley High , after June Dyson left the school . He starts the schoolyear with an iron fist ,
because he wants to do something at the bad discipline at school , and he immediately forbids make-up , smoking , etc... But soon he finds out that all those new regulations are a failure ,
and he becomes a nicer headmaster , with always the best interest for the kids . When Hartley High closes down at the end of the series , he also moves to Hartley Heights where he can
continue teaching the HSC-class as a science teacher .
