Nick Poulos (Alex Dimitriades)
Nick Poulos is the main character of the first series , he's the son of a greek family , and he has also a little sister called Effie .
He is head over heals in love with Jodie and he's a born leader as well as a good soccer player .
Unfortunately he died in a boxing accident at the end of the first series .
Jodie Cooper (Abi Tucker)
Jodie is a beautiful girl with a great voice ! Together with Nick , they were a great couple .Jodie always wanted to start a singing career
and with Con on her side as "manager" , she started making some great songs !Wenn Nick started boxing , their relation ended , but after Nick died , she came back to school .
Steve Wiley (Corey Page)
Steve is Danielle's boyfriend and he likes photography . After they told him he was adopted , he moved out of his parents' house and moved in into the warehouse with Jodie and Rivers
Danielle Miller (Emma Roche)
Danielle , Steve's girlfriend , always loved to do journalism . She also played in the Hartley-soccerteam as a goalkeeper ! (well done girl !) She also hangs out with Rose ,
and she even had a brief relation with Nick , but things worked out and she found out that Steve was her true love !
Con Bordino (Salvatore Coco)
Con , Nick's cousin , is the "manager" around Hartley High School . He's always busy doing "business stuff" with his mobile phone or driving around in his Buick !
Together with his brother Rocco , he created "Shark Pool" , a nice pool hall where the kids could hang out after school.
Katerina Iannou (Ada Nicodemou)
Katerina is the greek daughter of Stella , the housekeeper at the Poulos'house . In the beginning , she's a real troublemaker ,and she often hangs out with Rivers .
Later on though , she leaves again and goes to Greece back with her mother , but she will return !
Jack (Tai Nguyen)
Jack is a Vietnamese boy , who was first picked on by Rivers & his mates , but later they accepted him like he was , and he became Rose's boyfriend .
He's a bright student and later on he leaves Hartley and goes to a more difficult school , where he could learn for doctor .
Rose Malouf (Katherine Halliday)
She's a Lebanese girl , a good student ,and Dani's best friend . She becomes pregnant and she gives birth to her baby (a daughter called Tess) at school ! Jack's the father and together
they want to take good care of the child , so they marry each other and she leaves Hartley together with Jack as a great couple !
Peter Rivers (Scott Major)
Rivers is always (well , most of the time) looking for trouble , together with his mate Bolton . If there's anyone who knows how to interrupt a class , it's Rivers !
But no worries , he has got feelings too , first for Chaka , later for Kat and after her he even gets a relationship with the new teacher Sam , who also loves motorcycles .
Chaka (Isabella Gutierrez)
Chaka is a girl who comes from a poor family . Her father is gone back to El Salvador , and together with her mother and her sister & brother , she has to do the housekeeping .
At school , she's trying hard to do her work , but it isn't always easy for her .Not long after she falls in love with Rivers , she has to leave Hartley because her father finds a job elsewhere .
Alan Bolton (Jon Pollard)
Bolton is Rivers' mate , but he doesn't play a main character in the first series . He likes making trouble and giving people a hard time if he doesn't like them .
He's a good blader and he plays also in the Hartley High rugby team .
Effie Poulos (Despina Caldis)
Effie is Nick's little sister and still goes to a primary school . She thinks Con's the best , and she also likes Kat like she's her own sister .
She has troubles when her mother died , and when Stella wants to leave the Poulos' house , and George (her father) wants to leave for Greece too , she runs away from home , but
they find her back in Kings Cross , and after that she and her brother can stay at the Bordinos .
George Poulos (Nico Lathouris)
Mr.Poulos works in a big factory , and he has to work hard to get all the money together for his family . After Ms.Poulos died in a terrible car accident ,
he's very depressed and has difficulties to look after his two children by himself . Nick tries to help him , and together they slowly get over their big loss . He can coach the Hartley High soccer team ,
and thanks to George they win ! He decides also to get a new housekeeper , and so he hires Stella , Katerina's mother to do the housekeeping . After a while , he falls in love with her ,
and together they leave for Greece , after Mr.Poulos gets the opportunity to work in Greece . He sells his house , and he gives the money to the Bordinos , who will look after his children from now on .
Christina Milano (Sarah Lambert)
Ms.Milano starts as a new teacher at Hartley High in the first episode . In the beginning , she has difficulties to handle the "gang of Hartley" , but later on she prooves what a great teacher she is, and she gets the respect she deserves from the students . When she meets Mack , who helps children in Indonesia , she decides to leave Hartley with him and start a new life .
Yola Fatoush (Doris Younane)
As a school councellar , Yola is always there to have a conversation with when a student has a problem . She's a person the kids trust , and most of the time she's there
to stand up for the kids when there's a problem at Hartley .
Bill Southgate (Tony Martin)
Mr.Southgate is the science teacher , and he's a real strict person , he plays everything by the book ! That's why most of the kids come in contact with him
when he thinks they go out of line or don't work enough . Weird enough , he's always the one who stands up for Rivers if he's in some kind of problems with the police .
He also coaches the Hartley Rugby Team , where Rivers and Bolton play in .
Graham Brown (Hugh Badwin)
Graham is the maths and music teacher of Hartley High . Because he's gay , some students , especially Bolton and Rivers , give him a hard time .
Certainly when there has been a complaint of sexual harassment from a litlle boy , the boys hate him and want him out , he even gets beaten up at the street . But after he proved he's not guilty at all ,
things turn back to normal and he can go back to school .
Jim Deloraine (Stephen O'Rourke)
Jim's the school principal at Hartley High , and sure knows how to keep (some) order in his school . That doesn't mean he's a bad or tuff principal , he's just doing a good job ,
and always helping the kids out when they need it . I think , he's the best principal of all the series so far !
