On May 29, 1982 a tornado ripped through Williamson County. Carterville, Crainville, and Marion were hit. Damage suggest the tornado was F4 strength. The pictures below show the tornado's path, before the tornado touched down. These were taken from the yard of my home. Later I will add other pictures dipicting the damage done around our home.

If you notice the house is not sitting on its foundation straight.

If you look closely next to the house that didn't lose all of its roof you will see a metal storage shed. That was sitting at the back of our home before being taken over our roof and landing so perfect next to that house.
If you notice there is only one mail box. Three originally stood there. Our mail box was found in the next subdivision with the mail still in it.

STILL TO COME
One of the next pictures will show one of my clearest memories. I remember walking towards the back of the house. My swingset was not there. I started crying. The tornado had picked it up and thrown it up against the house, where it could not be seen until we were all the way in the backyard.

In another picture you see the window that was broken out of the car but a piece of wood no bigger then a hersey's bar.
