The way I think, the life I lead. A lifelong struggle, in what I believe" - "Marked For Life" off Fight For Justice

That line pretty much sums up the hardcore ideals of Warzone. For the last 10 years, Raybeez and a long line of his NYHC family have practiced what they preached both to and about "the scene". With their newest release, "Fight For Justice" the band marks yet another milestone in hardcore. A return to their roots. Punk and Oi styles mingle with modern East Coast hardcore to turn "Fight For Justice" into what will probably be considered their most poignant album to date. With the same lineup as last year, Warzone continue to teach the new, entertain the elders and balance music with message just like they did on '96's "The Sound Of Revolution". With songs like "Locked Out" and "Brother and Sisterhood" that talk about acceptance in hardcore, Warzone is the band that the kids need today. With its start in angst filled family morality, the underground hardcore scene has grown in popularity and this band understands that the strength that lies in numbers can be quashed by political infighting and unacceptance of difference. Raybeez and Warzone have been there for years and are spreading a positive message of tolerance, individuality and self-respect among all hardcore youth.

The spread of the Warzone message is only possible through a rigorous touring schedule, which is exactly what they did after the release of "The Sound of Revolution". On the road for eight months, they made multiple trips to Europe, not to mention two complete loops around the U.S. They are out there, spreading the word. And people are hearing it.

After working with Dr. Know of the Bad Brains on "The Sound of Revolution", Warzone have chosen our own Tony "Victory" Brummel to produce this effort. Making a record in Chicago is a bit different for these guys, but the spirit of community that has been brought to the sessions is audible on every track. It's NYHC at it's best.

A lot of bands are getting back together because hardcore is "in" again. Warzone are one of the prime examples of why people care about hardcore today. They've been there since the beginning, they've never gone anywhere and they continue to press forward, expanding our ideas of what the music is about.

Mi opinion for the band:There are no others like WARZONE...                                                                                                         coollogo_com_51910.gif (4922 bytes)
