Collectively, EARTH CRISIS have sold more records than any other Victory band. After leaving Victory in late 1997 and ending up lost at another label they are back where they started. Returning home has invigorated and motivated the band to a level of creativity and conceptuality that they have never achieved in their eight year existence. Over the last year EARTH CRISIS' focus has been on musically expanding to larger audiences and their new material reflects their ability to do this without compromise.
Vocalist Karl Buechner has coaxed his maniacal growl into migrating to tuneful, decipherable and addictively catching choruses and vocal hooks, at times sounding like a young, uncaged, Ozzy Osbourne. Karls' astounding range and vocal depth has positioned him as one of the strongest voices in rock. The musical backbone of the band has never been stronger from both songwriting and musicianship perspectives. Bassist Bulldog and drummer Dennis Merrick provide percussion that is calculated, spontaneous and massive- flying way off the Richter scale. Guitarists Scott and Eric riffssometimes pulverizing and jagged, sometimes soothing sonic barrages round out the musical savagery. Physically the band are in their best condition ever and are determined to take over every stage, audience and venue that they invade.
'Slither' morphs the brutal nature of EARTH CRISIS' music with a new found level of harmony and structure. In an era where the mainstream is embracing hard music it's only logical that EARTH CRISIS have waited until now to release their breakthrough record. EARTH CRISIS have been releasing records since 1991 paving the way for bands like P.O.D., SLIPKNOT, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, and STAIND.
In the last four years EARTH CRISIS have received national media coverage on CNN (Earth Matters), TBS, FOX (America\0xD5s Most Wanted), CBS (48 Hours), MTV (Music News) and ABC (World News Tonight). EARTH CRISIS\0xD5 message of human, animal and environmental liberation has caused shockwaves that resonate beyond the music industry. They have toured with bands ranging from Sepultura, Misfits and Downset to hardcore scene companions Snapcase, Madball and Skarhead. In 1996, they appeared on the first ever OZZFEST along with the accompanying live CD that resulted from the event. In October 1999 they played Columbia's (the most dangerous country in the world according to the CIA) ROCK IN THE PARK festival to over 200,000 people. Charismatic vocalist Karl Buechner has spoken in front of the US Congress about teens and substance abuse. How many singers in hard rock have done that? EARTH CRISIS epitomize commitment, fortitude and resilience and are an established and embraced trademark in the international metal, hardcore and punk music communities.
'Slither' was produced by Steve Evetts (Snapcase, Hatebreed) and is sonically the most assaulting, alluring and capitivating record in the band's history. This is not just a record - it is the soundtrack to the freedom and liberation from the inhibiting elements of the world.
"...Earth Crisis preaches the Rage Against the Machine ethos of identification, participation, and action built around a rock-solid musical foundation, and in doing so stands as one of the more politically viable acts around." - Warp

"Earth Crisis is setting a precedence for a new generation of fans to follow."C - Heckler
My opinion for the band:I still like them and forever will.
