Melee

Melee RoCKs. Superb California rock. Melee's official website .

Last Week

Good pop rock. Last Week's Official Website.

An Angle

Sounds strangely similar to Bright Eyes An Angle's Official Website .

Willy Mason

On team love records. that's it. Willy Mason's Website .

Spiraling

Toured with OK GO. Have Keyboards. Good. Now go to their website.

Stars

Labelmate's the Broken Social Scene have gotten rave reviews. Who cares about them when you have STARS! (I'm kidding the BSS are great...but the point is to promote Stars). They sound like Death Cab for Cutie and Rilo Kiley smooshed together which is sort of like the Postal Service...Anyways check them out and other great artists like the BSS on Arts & Crafts.

Starlight Mints

Sounds really strange at first, but it sure is catchy. Their name is pretty cool, ya dig?Starlight Mints's Official Website

Laguardia

Craving for a rockier Radiohead without the blips and the bleeps? Then you might like Laguardia...either that or you'll say that Laguardia's trying too hard to be Radiohead. Ofcourse, most bands cannot reach Radiohead status, but they can try. Laguardia's Official Website

Denali

Band on Jade Tree Records. 'Nuff said.Denali's Official Website

Limbeck

Sunny rock-pop with a tinge of country. how can you not love the lyric, "Julia is so smart, i'm annually reminded, yea Julia is so smart, she used to be a goth kid"? It's kind of weird lyric...Limbeck's Official Website

Damien Rice

He won the shortlist awards which means he beat Bright Eyes, Cat Power, Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and the Streets for the title. Pretty tough competition, but he won. He plays an acoustic guitar and sings, while a small orchestra backs him up. I fall for any band with an orchestra-it's such a gimmick (sp?), but it makes the music so pretty. Damien Rice's Official Website

The Stills

I always wonder if there will ever be a defiency of band names beginning with "The"...oh well. This band is opening up for Ryan Adam's fall/winter(?) tour dates. Nice alternative rock. The Stills's Official Website

Jamison Parker

Love the All American Rejects, but detest how they’re so…mainstream? Jamison and Parker are your next idols, not the Kelly and Ruben kind. Pop-punk songs about heart-break, girls, youth, and home-it’s all here. Their voices aren’t as uneven as Tyson’s voice, which is a plus. Jamison Parker's Official Website

Graham Colton

We like him. He’s like John Mayer, and all those other singer-songwriters we like, but edgier. In fact, he’s toured with John Mayer, and is now on the road with Jason Mraz. Keep a look out on him; if you don’t, you’ll regret it later. Graham Colton's Official Website

The Sounds

New Wave is coming back! Yes!!! These Swedes play awfully catchy pop and add the fun back into music. They sound like Blonde with their lively front woman, Maja Ivarsson; it even says on the sticker on their album, and sales associates will even tell you they sound like Blonde just to enforce the comparison. The Sounds's Official Website

Tilly and the Wall

Super happy and fun music! Woo! They don’t own a drum set, but they doesn’t mean they’re not a “real” band, there’s just more room for creativity. So they have a tap dancer to keep the beats (yes, you read that right). Features former members of Park Avenue and Bright Eyes.Tilly and the Wall's Official Website

The Thrills

They are so thrilling. It’s hard to believe that these dudes are from Ireland instead of California. Their songs are so dreamy, and beachy…The Thrills's Official Website.

Steve Burns

Where’d that guy with the striped shirt on Blues Clues go? Hmm…his name was Steve right? Well, he’s making music now, and it’s not for preschoolers. It’s like electro-pop rock….uhm…I give up…but it’s pretty good. Steve's Web Page
