I Hate This Place: The Pessimist's Guide to Life
Author: Jimmy Fallon & Gloria Fallon
As the authors, Jimmy and Gloria Fallon, so gracefully put it "Are you sick of reading those meditational self-help books that are supposed to win you friends, give you inner peace, and make you rich?" If you are, then its about time to pick up a copy of I Hate This Place: The Pessimist's Guide to Life, where they vow to tell you the blunt truth and destroy all illusions of a perfect world that you may have. (We are talking about Jimmy Fallon here, what else would you expect, and by the reading of it, his sister is just as funny.)

My Rating:Must read, it will make you laugh like never before...
If you are one who cannot take sarcasm whatsoever, forget it, don't even pick up this book, you'll waste your time not finding humor in one of the most funniest books you could possibly read. But if you are like me, the sarcasm queen, this book is one you must buy! If you don't know which you are, then go to the bookstore, follow the signs to the Humor section and look for this book. Read a few pages and if you laugh when you see "As if my social life wasn't bleak enough, Caller ID had to come along. My number may as well be listed as 'Don't Pick Up the Phone" then, you ought to buy the book. On the other hand, if you feel sorry for the poor fellow, drop it and leave the humor section altogether.
I find myself picking up the book and flipping through a few pages whenever I have a moment and then the next thing I know, I am laughing hysterically. My personal favorite is under a section called "My Story." So the story goes, "I bought a package of low-fat cookies that had 50 percent more cookies in the box than usual, so if I ate the whole box I'd gain more weight than if it was a regular-size box of cookies. They should call those types of cookies "High Fats" because that’s what everyone's going to say when I walk in the room."
This guide is something that would take you a few minutes to read, but if you are like me, you flip and go to different pages eventually reading the book in its entirety after a week, and still finding the sarcasm hilarious. In my opinion, it is something you should invest some money in, but if you are cheap, I guess you could go to the bookstore and read it within 15 minutes and put it back onto the shelf, casually look around at some other books and walk out with nothing, having read the entire book.
